Isograph? Wow, tag are really on it... A watch simply to time your isolation!

Agree, bezel look lovely and shim, very old school then you have the big block numbers.

I think it needs a busier dial. Otherwise how will people know it's a Tag.

I'd go for the new Longines Spirit, similar vibe to this.

That's very nice - which model is it?!

Geniunely thought I was looking at a Hamilton for a split second there.

It’s quite fun! It takes a little while to mentally adjust, but I have another watch with a GMT hand so not that long. I rather like the different perspective of looking at the entire day on the dial - it’s subtle, but it makes spending an hour on something seem like not such a big deal in the great scheme of things, but at the same time you can easily see how much of the day you’ve lost if you waste the hour. It’s just a slightly higher level of abstraction, really. I find it helps when I have a lot to do. But it’s a busy dial and not as easy to read as a 12hr dial, so not to everyone’s tastes I’m sure.

Hamilton khaki pic
Not sure about the 15... Not normally triggered (like some) but that off centre 15 (not on the inner circle like the rest) kills me.

I like Hamilton watches, but this one for some reason just doesn't look right for me. I don't know what it is, it looks too fat/round.

I have the Hammy and am selling it - I respect it (if you see what I mean) but it leaves me a touch cold. A bit too sterile perhaps... Have replaced it with a Serica which is fast becoming my favourite watch. The Hammy is actually really thin - only 10mm - but then that might not be what you mean by fat! V similar case to the mechanical.

The 15 on the inner military time ring is waaaaay out of alignment on the 42mm, but only a touch off on the 38mm (pictured). Never really noticed it. Would def notice that tiny / squeezed date window on the Longines tho (which is also out of alignment with the indices)!

Third or so attempt at the Speedy, I couldn’t deny this love any longer.
Removing the bracelet link was a major PITA, someone went crazy with loctite (or whatever it’s called) on one of the screws and I almost gave up.

Nice one! Were you lucky with a 'just right' fit after adjusting the bracelet? Mine is always marginally too tight or loose.

Classics are classic for a reason.

You've got quite some collection going - you'll have to do a SOTC photo of your watchbox at some point!

It might look like it but not really, I've only got 3-4 watches that I keep.
Sometimes I buy stuff (like the Rolex), just to try it on and make sure I don't want it.

buy stuff, and try it on, only to find you don't want it? or buy stuff just to eliminate it?

Congratulations. Like others have said, it's a classic for a reason.

Buy stuff to really get a feel for it and see if it’s for me, in case of the Rolex it’s impossible to go and do that at an AD.
With that bezel it looks like two disparate watches welded together, imho.
Not sure I like the orange writing either, so it’s a no from me.
