Thought Regal was spot on. The step dial is lovely though. Why the clasp, it doesn't look good now and it won't look good in 20/40/60 years.

Yep way to go, they have made the bracelet worse

Love step dial, bracelet meh, no applied logo on hesalite is something i dont understand, i would prefer the concentric circles were more defined.
Omega webpage has the updated version now

It has sapphire, not hesalite. I suspect that logos on sapphire weaken it.

No i mean the applied logo on the dial. Hesalite version is painted, sapphire is applied

Am I mad in thinking the new version looks a little more squashed up - the subdials bunching up against the logos bunching up against the hour markers? At first glance, the previous face looks like it has more space to breathe.
Big fan of the step subdials tho. Not so much of the new bracelet, but I never liked the old bracelet that much either due to the combo of brushed and shiny on the links.

Omega bracelets are leagues behind Rolex.

Oh by miles. That Submariner bracelet is a work of art.

Strange because the clasps are much nicer.
I do find my Omega bracelet very comfortable, I'd just prefer it if it were a bit plainer. -

Haven’t worn this in quite a while. Remembered quickly why. V.noisy.

Totally agree. The bracelet on the sub is just too good. And the glide lock thing, just awesome.
@BleakRefs Yes.

Thoughts on this? I need another watch like I need a hole in my head but I find myself drawn to this vey watch when searching the internet late at night

I have to say it’s very good for the money , keeps great time .
Lume is great.
It’s a very Matt finish , it hasn’t marked at all so far , it looks good on a NATO .
Crown is a little more awkward to get too but doesn’t dig in your wrist .Today is the first day since Xmas that I’ve swapped for a similar but 6x the price squale .
I have 2 SteelDive’s and gor the money I haven’t seen anything that gets near them .
It’s a cheap watch , let’s face it , but sapphire, seiko, lume, ceramic , I’m not sure you could mod a second hand seiko for the price -

Side by side .
Plus if you don’t like send it back or sell on , how much can you lose .
They usually arrive next day too

I’m reserving judgement on the new speedmaster “professional” until I see one in the flesh. You all know how passionate I am about moonwatch.
It’s not a moonwatch. Yet .
I can see why the movement went co axial , and the price is still realistic. Won’t have done any harm to the prices of preowned either ( or indeed those of you wise enough to have bought one of the last FOIS )
I do still have one of the previous left as well , but I may just stick that in the safe for myself and leave it there. -

Oh but even in the pictures that clasp is shocking .

The white gold one is actually pretty tasty.
It's a combination of them making the OMEGA text bolder and the Speedmaster text bigger. Unbalances it for me, but you know what I'm like.
The pinstriping just looks cheap to me. Still miles off Rolex.
