They’re nice - quite long lug to lug on these for the case size. If you’re interested I have a hardly worn and clean auto version (black dial) which I would happily sell for a good price. They’re a bit more versatile imo because of polished bezel, plus the 80 hour reserve is brilliant and they will fit on a strapcode bracelet (the one designed for the sarb017 alpinist).
Other similar option is the Serica www?

Thank you.
For some reason I don’t like the auto version and ideally looking at a hand wound. The simpler the better... I’ll just keep looking. Never heard of Serica, will check them out. Micro brand, I assume, -

Store lightning doesn't help but I generally agree.
Was thinking that, remind me when I saw BB58 and thought it’s very shiny due to store lighting

Exactly.

The bonklip bracelet is kind of cool - but it is a proper strap monster.

Does anyone make anything that looks like a Patek 2526 but doesn’t cost fuck you money?
Weirdly, some of the Seiko stuff is close (lug shape, size, indices, hands but none have the small seconds sub dial.
Nomos Orion is kinda close I guess....

Why is this:
Thicker than this, and would I notice?
-
• #50260
Power reserve perhaps.
-

Hi-beat movement is thicker. More accurate too (not by much) but also less power reserve.
36,000 beat movements are ace.

I think the longer GMT hand is more elegant.
-
• #50263
Hi-beat would be a nice addition to have a watch with an almost silk smooth sweeping hand.
-
• #50264
I much prefer the high-beat over the other one. The whole face is more elegant.
-
• #50265
Spring Drive is my first choice (love my Snowflake) but high-beat is so cool.

• #50266
Seeing the odd-numbered GMT hours is infinitely more pleasing than evens..
-
• #50267
I'd not noticed that but it is definitely better.

I don't know but you'd have a cracker of a watch either way :-)

I'll wait until we get back to tier 3 and then go to the GS Boutique in South Ken to take a look at the SBGJ217
-
• #50270
what's the ref of the first one? Not seen that one before - I've coveted the other one for a while but I agree with others the hi beat one is nicer...
EDIT - just seen the ref in the post above mine which landed about the same time

Out of left field but the WOS exclusive of the other GMT is pretty nice.
Got that special dial pop you're looking for.

I like those creamy dials on GS.

Got a brand new BB58 today, let’s hope this is the end of the problems and we’ll live a long and happy life together.
