  • That clasp is bonkers big, I remember now reading about making the cut predominantly on one strap to try to centralise it on the wrist.

@Bainbridge if you want to ‘try before you buy’ you’re welcome to borrow the silicon strap from my Sinn although I’ve got quite small wrists (17.5cm) and the butterfly clasp I’ve got doesn’t have much adjustment. Drop me a PM. Edit - presuming it’s the same band for your watch which it may not be. Edit2. It’s a completely different strap, ignore me unless you wanna try it anyway :)

    556 on skinny silicon.

  • Ff it doesn't fit right it's probs not worth it, but thanks for the offer anyway!

I've pondered getting the bracelet for the Sinn but it's quite expensive and I've heard not totally positive things about Sinn bracelets. Anyone had one on here?

  • Yeah no worries, I should’ve checked first. I like the H link bracelet on mine, not too hefty or flimsy.

  • New watch for me today

  • So, I don’t like some watches, but I respect them, there are some I just can’t look at. Modern Rolex Daytona (to me this just seems so overrated with the uneven lugs, odd subdials and 13 lines of text), I love the vintage Daytona’s. Skydweller... or any Panerai I’ve seen, just to name a few.
What watches don’t do it for you/you just don’t get? I’m just curious.
Interestingly, I couldn’t stand this with the black on black bezel and rubber band but now I think it’s one of my big grails...

  • New watch for me today

    Nice

    What size?

  • I'm a big fan of that yatchmaster

It's an almost grail for me as well

  • Oh hell yes. Beauty. Congrats.

  • Also

    😂@PawG you know you wanna

  • Thanks - and yes I think my strap would need to be slightly uneven on one side to centre the clasp (and it would be a better fit as it's only slightly too loose now). Will get used to the fit for a few days and then give it a go.

  • Wearing this for the first time in a month as I couldn't be arsed to wind the date on last week...

  • Not to sidetrack too much, but I enjoy the book cases, and the books on them.
I think I spot longitude on the shelf above to the right, an appropriate book maybe?

  • Ha!

I've tried and things like that don't scratch the itch.

With the YM is either the real thing or nothing. I think £20k for a watch is mental. If that changes in the future, I might get one.

  • 36mm - I have tiny wrists though

  • Correct

  • It’s a black dial, but with a great sunburst thar goes grey in some lights

  • This look way like a modded Seiko with that bezel font.

  • Excellent! Glad to see it's getting some use. Today's choice - beaten up Longines. My first 'nice' watch.

  • Ohhhh I tried to get that one but no chance...

  • That really is an absolute peach. You dont see them in that condition very often.

  • Cheeky second entry for today, finally had time to shorten the strap
