  • All the Breitling chat made me dig out my old one for work today, at least twenty years old and never seems to miss a beat. The dial is very of its era but is it too fussy by today’s standards?

    Lovely...

    Thats got stories!

  • That’s badass. Refreshing to see after endless faux patina.

  • Here’s mine bought it in the early 90’s, my 1st big insurance payout after getting hit by a truck. Couple of years ago a mate got all the gold bits new for it then Breitling asked if I wanted the watch and bracelet done in a satin finish (used to be polished but was scratched up). Still my daily watch

  • The bicolour bezel quarters are just rude.

Suprised these havent come back in like Dad trainers...

  • Both of those are much better designed than the ones with Time New Roman on. I especially like the gilt date wheel. Good work everyone.

Ejay, sorry if I've cost you a sale… not that I think anyone was going to bite.

  • This is cool. Has a whiff of double denim- should look passé but sometimes looks very right.

  • come back in like Dad trainers...

    And dad bods

  • This is cool.

    Agreed

  • Never went away...

  • Dad bod and dad trainers....that’s me covered then....was actually tempted by one of the ones ejay was selling

  • I wont make that mistake again !!
No I do generally agree , there is obviously a reason we have them still .
And to be fair they are built like a brick shithouse and always reliable.

  • Any better ?

    TRIFECTA!!!

    Do it

  • Any better ?

    amazing

  • Redeemed myself then .
on a speedmaster moonwatch note , anyone who was thinking about it needs to get a wiggle on due to the imminent demise of the current hesalite 1861 engined professional .
it's likely ( apparently) that the stocks currently in the UK are the last ones .
And they are selling quickly .
I am down to my last two.

  • What are they going to be replaced with?

  • manual wind coaxial movement 3861 and gonna be much more expensive apparently amongst other changes.
    won't be the same ........

  • Still hesalite, or sapphire sandwich only?

    much more expensive

The eternal truth of luxury watches, but seems to be even more so the case with Omega over the past few years; I've more or less accepted a Speedy Pro is likely to remain permanently out of reach...

  • Looking for some advice/random opinions on watches for those of us with small wrists (I’m 16cm circumference and 5cm width). A recent inheritance means I’m looking to treat myself, ideally to a sports diver. Not looking for fussy dials or chrono complications.

Had thought about a Black Bay 58 in blue, but they seem to have all sold out. I have an appointment on Saturday with my local Omega dealer to try the Seamaster 300 and Plenet Ocean 39.5mm, but I’m thinking both might be too big. Anything else I should ask to try while I’m there, or should I just suck it up and wait for Tudor to restock? Max price would be £5.5K, though less=better, obvs.

  • Not sure if hesalite still gonna be offered . I do hope so , purists will shit the bed if it's dropped .

  • My wrists are only a bit bigger at 18cm and I have a seamaster 300 and don't find it big at all.
The planet ocean at 39.5 is smaller but it feels taller . Seamaster 300 is slim for a divers watch and frankly also is awesome. In my opinion is way nicer than the Tudor and I sell both but it is the Omega I choose to wear . It is more money though.
And I do have a reputation for being "mr Omega" on here.
