To quote myself from a couple of pages back:
I'd like one of these:
Ideally round, not too large or flash and 'watchy' if possible.
If secondhand is the way to go then I am stuck as to what makers to search for.
Thanks.

I realise that an IWC is beyond my budget by well over two thousand pounds.

Does it have to have a strap?

I like these. At £280 still a bit over my budget though...esp since I bought some Rotary thing a few months back (that keeps breaking grr).

I'd rather a wristwatch than a pocket watch if that's what you mean!
Do you mean a leather strap?

Strap vs Bracelet

Excuse my ignorance: what's the difference between a strap and a bracelet? Does the latter have clasp rather than a buckle?
-
• #486
bracelets are usually steel
but you can get a strap with a deployment clasp

Bracelet = steel

Definitely after a tan leather strap.

Mate for £40 you'll be lucky to get a decent watch with a leather strap

That's what I thought, hence my asking. I meant secondhand; I realise £40 goes nowhere on a new one.
If Swatch did a tan strap I'd probably go that route. This one can be had for £70 but I'm not sure I like it:

but why just get a watch when your watch can also be a spy camera and a usb storage device.
and for just £20 more, and it doesn't look that shit?
I think thats much better.in all seriousness. G I'm jealous of your Omega, I covet Omegas.
I'd buy a watch but i hate wearing them.
but as a kid I loved them.
round or square? robust or delicate dress?
