Strap vs Bracelet

Excuse my ignorance: what's the difference between a strap and a bracelet? Does the latter have clasp rather than a buckle?

bracelets are usually steel

but you can get a strap with a deployment clasp

If Swatch did a tan strap I'd probably go that route. This one can be had for £70 but I'm not sure I like it:
