Search for Bulova Sea King. I nearly bought this too but my limit is £50 for these. I should also add the whale logo is cool but possibly a nod to the whaling industry where Bulova set up its factory (Portland?). Can’t remember where I read that so could be rubbish.

The Bulova Lunar is a lovely alternative to the speed master too for a hella lots less.

There’s already a blue sub, it’s the white gold one. Rolex tend to only do blue dials on gold sports models. It won’t be a blue steel Sub, I bet you. It’ll be a movement upgrade and a minor fiddle with the dial and hands at most.

The absolute worst thing would be if they upped it from 40mm to 42mm, which is probably what they’ll do.

@inchpincher no, not really the right time for me. Probably will get something for myself for my 30th in a few years. But with that said, watches aren't that important to me at the moment and I'd rather spend the cash on a new bike than a watch. Also starting to save for a Cent Cols Challenge in 2022...

I did! I love that frame, was still riding it until last year. It's now hanging in my in laws garage here in Sydney until I have the space to build it again.

Sounds like you’ve got your priorities straight, a watch to mark an occasion is definitely more fulfilling.

Yeah I know they have the "Smurf", gold version but as we know gold doesn't sell, well rarely and it's obviously a much higher price anyway. Also it would make sense dial wise to have the sunburst like the Hulk. Not a fan of a matte blue dial when it's linked with white gold, makes sense to add the sunburst bling to me but they didn't.
I know they do a matte and a sunburst blue on the yellow gold subs but again that's gold and some almost verge on a purple hue.

Just popped into the Rolex dealer in Karlsruhe- said that it’d take him ten years to get me a submariner, longer for a GMT.

He also said that he expected Rolex to choke supply further.

My local dealer advised 18 months for a Rolex Explorer. Is that good or bad?

They direct people to the nearest Tudor outlet where they can buy slightly cheaper watches they don’t want
