Toying with the idea of getting my dad a watch for Father’s Day - his daily has stopped and can’t be fixed.
Any suggestions for a super legible / simple quartz daily around 40mm?

I was under the impression that Chrono24 used listing prices as well. Attached is the value chart of the Casio “Casioak” GA-2100, which I’ve been paying a bit of attention to since I took a punt on it.
My feeling was rather that in the last two weeks prices have fallen from 150€ for an unworn watch, and I base that statement on eBay sold listings of the last month and a half.
Similarly, from eBay sales at least, very few were paying 200€ for it early May. Rather 150-200€, which makes C24’s average line around 200€ difficult to believe for me.
However, you’ll find many a recent listing on Chrono24, from the US or Singapore, asking ridiculous prices (circa 400€ for it). That’s very new as far as I’ve looked at this watch, and I’m thus not surprised by the chart attached.

I posted Regals chart on the "for sale" thread for that Batgirl, and the first response was from one of the cadre of far right cunts saying "You really do like charts", charts being one of the things that the war on experts have made into the flags of the culture war it would appear.

Surely it should be called the Alan Sugar, not the batgirl?

Ha. Well yeah, and to @bsb’s point, there is a problem with those charts in that C24 don’t expose the formula they use or the actual data points. They do use sales prices but they do also use listing prices, and other external data points I believe. But we have no idea exactly what those data are or what the weighting is. Plus you have to factor in their interest in prices escalating - they take a percentage of transactions so it is in their interest that sale prices are higher rather than lower. It’s all definitely best taken with a pinch of salt.

How do we add a red circle to the peak on the right? I want to tease Dammit about having bought at that point causing it to crash...

What was his normal daily like?
Pretty unremarkable thing - possibly had date on it. Possibly a lorus or timex. Was on a bracelet I think.
He’d be happy with something you can read whilst smashing about in the garden but also be acceptable whilst eating out / concert etc.

I got the fake Erika yesterday, it's so much nicer than the NATO I had on before. They even included some spring bars and a spring bar tool.
