Don't think it's been shared but Gnomon now sell some moody Erika's. Not as cheap as Watch Gecko but I'd pay that much I think. Really like mine.

I keep a fairly close eye on watch master Rolex prices and quite a few are coming down now. And the economic turmoil has yet to seriously kick in yet for the majority. Suspect that behind quite a few watches going up for sale in the next few months and years there will be some sad stories behind them.

Well, we're giving the economy a significant supply side and demand side shock, at the same time, and we're going to follow that up with a big supply side shock in January.
I think a lot of people are going to be in trouble, and the figures show that a lot of people have availed themselves of cheap credit. Now that's fine as long as you can pay the instalments, but its a different matter if you can't.
The surprise would be if we don't see a big drop in value for watches, sports cars, classic cars etc.

I have been hoping this might be the case
-
• #43388
Yep. I think even people with typically very "safe" incomes have been caught out quite rapidly in this climate..... lives on finance suddenly becoming extremely painful/expensive
-
• #43389
I've got a loan for the car, and I've allowed my credit card to creep up - I'll be paying those off as rapidly as is practical to give myself some room, just in case. Luckily my mortgage is very small, so that's not a concern. I know people who are earning roughly what I do that have 40 grand on credit cards, which I find terrifying whilst employed, let alone if I were to lose my job suddenly.

if i can pick up a mint 16570 for sub 5k ill strongly consider pulling the trigger
-
• #43391
So gross
-
• #43392
There will also be those that bought expensive knowing prices won't change for a while, definitely go up, then suddenly sell cause they see that its better to lose a k rather than 4.
Investors in watches.
This will be exasperated. Build on itself... Reverse covid curve.

Worth a haggle??
Looks like it's been serviced amd polished. 2 year warranty, box and papers. Not sure what these for the same year generally go for??

So Sub's on Chrono24 2020 with date are now within 1k USD of MSRP ... approx 10k (and seemingly with taxes, so about the same price?). Downside, not AD so no warrenty ?

Both look good value to me, but probably have further to fall.
They also have a nice enough air king which ok is the entry level, but it's mint and only a shade over 3k. That's pretty cheap.
Mind you I remember looking at air kings 11 years ago and they were half the price they are now, so everything is relative.

Has there ever been a good watch with the day but no date?
