Regarding speedmasters.
Where are all the cheap, well used ca. 10 year old speedmaster pros? All I see are either as new condition at a bit under retail or expensive vintage. -

Picked up a Timefactors PRS-25 (36mm) to give as a 21st birthday present. Thanks to everyone recommending them on here.
Would be too small for me but the larger size is tempting. Really high quality and the travel case is a nice touch for a gift.

They're around. Many head only 3570.50's on Reddit going for $2800-3000. But that is in the US, if that can be considered cheap...
Have seen people selling full kit legendary editions for the mid $3000's, which doesn't seem too bad now versus retail.

Have you looked at the Oysters?
The new ones in black face are nice and come in a few sizes. Worth a look imo and quintessentially Rolex, albeit a different aesthetic to a sub.
Spotted a bi metal Yacht-Master II today. subtle they are not.

Thanks, so they are around, but not many I gather. And apparently not on the sites I know. I must start looking at reddit.

I tried one on not long ago and I was really impressed. Whole thing is extremely sharp. Big step up from the standard 300M. Also very comfortable thanks to the nice soft strap and light weight.

We were all speaking recently about condition/ patina and how not to ruin it .
Well I am currently trying to obtain this.
Untouched 1970s Rolex submariner date . Ref 1680 “single red”
Box and papers although we haven’t seen these yet .
If I do manage to buy , will leave as it is ie won’t send for service.

Lovely, dibs (If only). Looks like it’s been worn, but looked after.

Would ultrasounding it removed the grime though? Or would that risk water ingress?
Just curious what the process would be? Grime is gross... Patina is nice.
Don’t forget about a chat, with beer, if you are here!
