Pretty much, hence why I like the Seiko in the first place.

Is it usual for it to be a massive PITA putting a bracelet back onto a speedmaster? I cannot get one of the spring bars in. Using official omega tool and same spring bars that have always been on bracelet. Just cant get one side in. Have tried the 4 other omega spring bars I have. arghhhhhhh...... Just wont compress enough by about .5mm

I think that what I need is:
- Omega Rally Strap, 98000024
- Omega deployant clasp, 94521813
Which is a pretty stern sum, altogether - just shy of £500.
Do those look like the correct parts?

Not sure of correct part now s but they look familiar. I looked into it for mine as I think the perforated strap matches really well. I asked Nicholas hacko (local Sydney watchmaker) about it and he mentioned around $400 Aud to source. I have gone with a $60 alternative. Annoying lack of omega logos though.

Have you tried turning the springbars around and swapping to top /bottom lugs? Might be a tiny variance between them
-
• #42608
That’s pretty cheap. I’m in Sydney at the end of the month (global pandemics allowing) so might follow up on that. The parts are around £500 here.

I might actually be going there tomorrow if I can't get this bracelet on. Happy to ask for an updated price. I'll update you if I do.

Have fiddled a lot. And put a few marks on the lugs.... Might have to give up.

I wonder how much would it cost a shop to fit it?

It’s a 16610 or was. Already sold.

Couldn't help but think of you for double Golf Club Bar points

The golf club thread is an homage to me anyway, where my worshippers gather to heap praise and reverence at my feet. If I got that strap it might push them over the edge and they'd become a Koresh style cult.

M8 after kitchengate your stock is well down. Not sure that strap is enough.

My fans still believe, it'll take more than a failure to spend 500M on a kitchen to dent their devotion.

Delusional. It's all about DJ.
On the subject of David Koresh, this was interesting:

Yeah. I could never get away with wearing one. It straddles the "looks classy" / "looks like a watch for yacht owning douche canoes" border for me. Up close though you can see where the money went. Nice quality.

The dial is, um, busy. They may have found the aesthetic of a blank space too much to deal with.
Nice 👍 what reference is that? I see rehaut engraving, alu bezel and no drilled lugs
