Last time I wanted a limited edition turtle was the night diver / ninja. They go for over $1k on chrono24 now. Could be a good investment, depending on how limited the edition is.

NY15 is 15% off which is more than casio as well..

Don’t think these are limited, just a premium version. It’s def toppy for “just a turtle”. Would have liked a 6R movement in it for that money but it’s clearly Seiko’s plan now, they’re pushing all their successful divers’ models further and further upmarket.

I saw one in a shop yesterday. I wasn't particularly keen on it.

Yeah, gold seconds hand and everything. I do like that watch, it’s very thick though and I can’t get past the rotate-a-date.

Sumo is better value, and also looks great. Baby Marinemaster is also not too far off that turtle price. I'm just a sucker for the fancy dial, and the olive drab.

I would have liked the blue dial one. But I think they are actually too big and too expensive.

Odd .. I think it’s too delicate for me.
Or is it n my head ?Not sure. It suits my pencil wrist well I think, but could imagine if you are hench it will look a bit curious. It's a small watch.

Funny, I've alway thought this G I got was a bit Oak-y but it wasn't quite flat enough. Those new ones look a lot flatter. I like em. They're a bit more refined - but I'm not sure refined is part of the G-shock DNA.

Nice one. Pre-ordered.
Those guys selling on Ebay must have been buying 100 or more, there are a few who have been listing solid since Oct.

A Look Inside Grand Seiko’s 9F Quartz Movemen
these movements are engineered much in the same way Grand Seiko’s mechanical movements are. To that point, they’re designed to be serviced should something go wrong mechanically, and they’re not meant to be discarded and replaced like many cheaper, mass-produced quartz movements are.
I did not know and that is really impressive.

The more I read about them, the more I’m impressed.
