  • Absolutely love Soccer Timers, I was lucky enough to pick up a NOS one in 2017

  • Problem is I can't wear it, so it is a bit of a safe queen

  • Stunning. why can't you wear it?

  • Well, I can of course wear it, but then it is no longer NOS... Fortunately I have other watches that get worn

  • Boooooo!!! Wear it!

  • @JB do you still have the Hamilton? How are you getting on with it?

  • @t-v I don't as a matter of fact. I realised that I just needed to stop buying middle of the road watches so sold it for the same that I paid. Nothing I purchased was as special to me as my Breitling (despite the fact that it's an acquired taste!) so I just kept ended up going back to it. I suspect that unless I buy a watch as a milestone for a life event, it just won't feel that special. So I won't be buying anything else unless it's to celebrate something be it a birthday, my wedding, a new job and so on. I think I've also realised that I am definitely not a watch collector. A two watch collection is probably what I see in my future. The Breitling which is quartz and can get battered around (it already is) and then something that can be dressed up or down. Like a white dial OP36.

  • You even sold the speedmaster?!

  • Yep. To the same guy that I got it from 'because he liked the NATO he sold it on'. He collects Speedmaster's.... I think it came from a place of feeling like I didn't really do anything to deserve it. Grand Seiko, Seiko's, Speedmaster, Hamilton's. All gone. Just this, which was my 18th birthday present from my Dad, having grown up admiring his Aerospace and wearing it whenever I could. An acquired taste, like I said.... Fits me much better than the photo would lead you to believe.:

  • On trend

  • Photo isn't working for me, but I have seen your aerospace before and it is great. Wrong thread to be saying this, but you only really need one watch and if it is one you have an emotional connection with so much the better.

  • Stopped working for me too. Weird. But yeah. Exactly.

  • I love to see anything new old stock and thatโ€™s beautiful, cracking find. What you need is a beater Soccertime as well... ๐Ÿ‘€

  • Canโ€™t just wear a Garmin!

  • Excellent plan... Although I was supposed to be sticking to a one in one out discipline ๐Ÿ‘€

  • I somehow managed to put two massive scratches on the crystal yesterday on my go to beater... Am glad I hadn't taken @JB's advice "Boooooo!!! Wear it!"

  • Scratched my Speedmaster crystal a few days ago, itโ€™s going to happen if you wear them.
