You can be a fan of the look, but not the price.
I prefer the sickfadez too, but wouldn't entertain buying either.

Not a Master II but much nicer patina?? Excellent store this. They have loads of great stock. Ultraman reissue in the window too.

Someone buy the Constellation from here as well, lovelyyyyy piece. I don't have the funds. Gent loves his Speedmasters in there too. Had an amazing Root Beer which I wish I could have afforded. One of the best I've seen.

Faded bezel only cool if it's your watch you've worn for decades in the tropics atmo

They’re the bunch that got really upset when I was looking at their Ploprof and lied about it being sold- it’s still in their window today.

100% agree.

Oh okay. Thought you wanted a more faded one, my mistake. Agree, gotta be part of the journey if it's that far down the line. Bit different if it was rarely worn but just put away for 20 years.

Oh really?? What happened there then??

I saw the Ploprof in Carter-Marsh, put a picture in this thread and a discussion started.
Freddo recommended this site, a collectors guide to the Ploprof, and the author of said site, and others - he's a marque specialist.
I started corresponding with the expert, got further details from Carter-Marsh including the serial number on the movement, and the expert (t_solo_t on Instagram) said that based on at records in the Omega archives that this was a service movement.
I went back to Carter-Marsh with this, who had a hissy fit and told me that the watch was actually a super-rare example, which they'd not realised before, and they'd significantly undervalued it so were removing it from sale (with the inference being it was going to a collector, due to it's amazing provenance).
I mentioned this on the thread, Freddo said that (what his recommended expert had said) was horse-shit, had his own hissy-fit and blocked me.
I didn't buy the watch.

That is cheap, and I’ll be in the US in three weeks. Would prefer to buy from a UK shop in some regards though- peace of mind and warranty.

Yeah can understand that if any issues arise. Amazing condition and price though!

No papers though. Just a certificate of authenticity

I'm quite fancying this one.
If only it didn't say "fifty fathoms" and "homage" on the dial.
I'd be happier with Fifty five or just nothing.Might still get it in the new year as a birthday present to myself

• #40571
"homage"? Or "automatic"? Maybe better if it did say homage....
-
• #40572
It says Homage at the bottom, below the baton at 6
-
• #40573
It would have to be at least a 50mm watch for Iain to spot that...

Dagaz makes quite good FFF dials. Sold mine on here a while back and miss it - they are great.

And then an even better homage!
and somehow step 1 is the hardest!
