  • Buys ruled notepad. Writes opposite way to lines.

I like your style, maverick man.

Only project managers do that - build in Gantt chart, innit?

  • Where can / should I get this little thing serviced?

  • Just give it to me. I'll look after it for you. Honestly, not worth the cost....

  • Rolex takes legal action against a firm that customises Rolex, claiming they are now counterfeit

Interesting take on counterfeiting, I understand the voiding of warranties, but classing them as fakes? I'm not sure.
Does using a £6 strap class it as counterfeit?

  • Gash watches but that is interesting and the case should be worth following.

  • Oh yeah, complete shite.
I wonder if Rolex tried to sue them for making absolute monstrosities out of their watches, but couldn't find legal precedence.

  • There's a fair amount of legal wrangling happening in the US right now about modding electronics. Rolex is making a similar argument that other manufacturers are making that opening up their kit = IP infringement. Techdirt's coverage of it is pretty good if you want to do some reading.

  • If they contain non Rolex parts, I reckon they could be called fake. Who knows, they could have non Rolex movements, we genuinely don't know.

I saw a few of them in Barney's before it closed down. They were so so so so shit. It was such a shame to see.

  • @Aroogah awooooogaaahhhh that Sinn though.

  • LOL... I could see you do that... Though with a much weirder accent ;-)

  • that is lovely

  • If I age like Sam Elliott I would be pretty fucking happy TBH.

Current trends point to "not going to happen"

  • Sod dunking this in a cup of tea.

Had a call from the watchmaker. All sorted. Apparently it looked fine inside, an easy life no evidence of bad services. All serviced with light polish to crystal. Cal552 after all, and case ref dated 1961-62 apparently.

  • Had several watch events this week so I’ve been wearing this all week. Really bonding with it now 🖤

It’s not going anywhere near my tea though

  • You need to be careful with introducing objective analysis to your watches - once you start down that path all roads lead to G-Shock (or Garmin etc) and the Trinity disappear in a puff of logic.

  • Seconded. Woof.

  • Yeah for £15 they are great value. I never have to worry about it and it just seems to keep working away despite a lot of abuse. I like the plain aesthetic too.

This thread has inspired me to look at at other watches though.

  • My £5.40 moody Erika's finally arrived yesterday so I got busy fitting one to my Chris Ward and SKX last night. Pretty impressed.
