Hey Hippy. How difficult was the crown on your Seiko to screw in? Mine arrived this morning and I can't seem to get it to screw down after adjusting the time/date.

Which model? There some play in a couple of my divers and it requires a small amount of jiggling whilst trying to tighten the crown to get things aligned.

SNZG15J1 - Same as hippy mentioned he had previously (didn't mean to exclude other knowledgable types). I've tried some jiggling and light to firm pressure but no joy so far.

Getting confused now and starting to wonder whether this model actually has a screw-down crown or not. The manual says it does but I can't find any pictures of it online with the crown screwed down - they're all at what the manual calls the "normal" position where there's a small gap between the case and the bottom of the crown. Also, when trying to screw it down there's no 'dip' where the crown passes over the entrance to the threads if you know what I mean. On my Tag which does have a screw-down crown you can feel a distinct 'notch' as you turn the crown over this area with downward pressure.

The Seiko 5 military one?
It doesn't have a screw-down crown. -

Argh. Way to confuse me, Mr. Seiko.
Thanks, hippy. I shall just relax and wear it then.

http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/help-me-find-my-lost-clasp-pin-seiko-frankenmonster-seiko-5-skz255k1-494776.htmlThe "watch guy" here gave me some info:
"Looks like you are missing the ‘collar’ for your bracelet pin which is why it’s falling out. Haven’t had a chance to find where you’d get a replacement but I’ll have a look when I get a chance. I’m guessing you can get a new pin and collar as part of a set..."
