Probably the only people who think this are the very tiny number of people who have a huge interest in the area, and half will have the opposite viewpoint that they're just buying the "success".

isn't this probably true 'on here' in general? the people with the 'best' bikes are the people who can throw the most money at them? correlation =/= causation and money =/= taste, but the two are certainly conflated in.. well.. basically every sphere of human existence/consumption? life imitating art imitating life?

I get more impressed for example by a Longines heritage diver than say a diamond set hublot , or by an IWC pilot than an Audermars of any description.

I dunno some of the best bikes on here aren’t the most expensive - spotter, hulsroy, psee and there’s loads of others. Similarly my fave watches posted on here aren’t necessarily the most expensive
