Seriously just take a link, a half link and a ruler in to the shop. Sounds like she was just trying to do you a favour based on inaccurate information.

Omega won’t order, or sell you, a link for your bracelet unless you can tell them the serial number. Which is annoying when you don’t have the watch with you as the bracelet is too long.

Might be worth looking on Cousins website.

Looks really good that. Ironically the day before I saw this post I'd bought a citizen eco drive from the jewellers, luckily it was on sale at half price so I was only out by about £30 from Creation. I'll definitely use them in the future with the Royal Mail option. Thanks for the pointer.

My pleasure.
I know if I had one you'd have bought from me originally. -

Pretty chuffed with this, 35 looks good on my tiny wrist.
Original crown and buckle.Might look a bulkier strap that hides the long lugs better.

Anybody fancy a bargain seamaster 300 diver before I send off to get serviced / refurbed . Keeping good time but can’t speak for water resistancy .

Oh, that is outstanding. I love it. You’ve got those late-60’s details like the seconds hand and dial markers, but with a 50’s style case.
This model is very interesting because I believe that the MoD actually trialled using it as a “Diving Supervisors Watch”. Early versions were prototypes which shared parts with the Lemania Diving Supervisor.

I'd like an Explorer i for my birthday in November and have been on a list at WoS for months but not heard anything. I want to buy brand new which likely rules out Chrono24 etc. What else should I be doing/am I missing?

Brand new why? Are you buying a tool watch to wear on special occasions?
Not being rude, Just asking.
If it's a kinetic watch (movement charges the battery) then it shows your charge level.
