Not an expert - but in doing research on my 1016, I think the Swiss T <25 on at 6 o'clock came in 1963 onwards so may not be a 1961 version unless it is a replacement dial. I have a 1962 with original certification and a serial number beginning 745. If the serial number of yours is higher than that then it is definitely later than 1961 and vice versa of course.
The "T" was apparently added to indicate Tritium being used in the lume and was sufficiently low in radiation to meet US max requirements for radioactivity - the "<25". My dial has the exclamation point ( a dot below the 6) which according to the articles I have found was an interim way of identifying non radioactive lumed dials.
I do like the domed crystal which mine does not have, the original having been replaced by a service crystal many years ago. The domed crystal does add to the overall design and adds to the appeal of the already appealing dial

Ah, no worries. Thanks anyway.
Yes, maybe too specific. Just found out that there will only be 100 made and they're all going to Swiss ADs.

I will be very surprised indeed if the dial isn’t a service replacement. The serial numbers put it at 1961 .
Ooops no they don’t. My man at Rolex now tell me 1966. For deffo.
Well almost certainly. -

That's a much more sensible number than I was thinking. I was hoping it would be closer to @ChainBreaker 's estimations
Any chance of divulging your top 3 at the moment?

These are the three that I'm wearing most at the moment. As soon as the summer kicks in, I'll be wearing my bronze Helson Sharkdiver because I'm addicted to seeing the colour changes when I go in the sea.

I just can't bring myself to buy one. I have no idea why. I'm more likely to buy a Ploprof right now

I'm appreciating more and more a bimetal Rolex, bit challenging to wear the accompanying sheepskin jacket though given the weather.

The trick is to saturate it in ice water. Gets heavy but just about keeps you cool enough.

El Primero for me. That's my favourite dial too.

i like it too. i guess the speedy is going for sale.

I’d favour the Speedmaster, whilst I like Zenith I think the Omega trumps it in terms of clarity, and has more style because of that. Always preferred a Speedmaster on a strap rather than a bracelet though.

Speedy for me too, clarity of the hands. Change it up though, you can always get another Omega.
What are people’s thoughts on the marmite that is the Tudor North Flag? I think I really like it and would be a half decent investment as their first watch with in house movement. Worth a chat with an AD who has a couple languishing in the store room?
Also with the $ comparatively weak should I be looking over the pond? -

Knocked off a big career goal this week so decided to mark it by replacing the Steinhart I recently sold with a new "good" watch. 39mm Longines Conquest Automatic. Bought second hand, 5 weeks old for a little under half RRP. I can already tell the chrome is going to be cuntish to keep clean. Oh well, it makes me smile when I look at it.
