I'm not a big fan of the dial on the new version, preferred the older model... The marketing was cack, reminded me of a Swatch campaign... Which, essentially, is exactly what it is...
Am I right, fukboiz?

Actually, that really works.

Owww my head. Love it.

That's just great.

I still prefer the metro! (Disclaimer - I own one, it's great)

Trying to streamline the watchbox - any interest on here in a FFF conversion? Will post pictures if there's a nibble.

Conversion? A seiko?
I’m curious. -

It's a SNZH57 with dial replacement and repainted second hand.

Bit more anti. Been too tasteful around here recently.

Price?

I think I'd set the mark at 150 - which is considerably lower than I can find one available for.
For the sake of full disclosure, I feel like you could probably obtain the base watch and bits for around that price these days - if that is your concern, then I fully implore you to go ahead, it's great fun to do. I'm into it for much more than that plus my time. If I'm way off on price, I'm open to a heckling from the hivemind- but at anything less than that I think I'd rather pass it on to a friend, or leave it in a drawer - it feels/looks like a lot of watch for that money.
edit:- now sold.

Local listing came up with this. Checking it out later. Wondering how low I can get it for - finally a double crown with internal rotating bezel. Apparently all working. Shame it's manual not automatic, and looks kind of busy.

Pretty huge case, but I'm already in love.

I might sell my Seiko 5 military flieger, anyone interested?
I'm not sure but last time I checked the date function wasn't working. I forget who it's by but the strap is really fantastic (and a more subdued colour IRL)

Quick look on Chrono24 suggest £1,500-2,000 for the Tudor.
Beautiful watch.

Both lovely. Second one is a Tissot seastar, not super valuable but quite pretty , maybe £500 or so

Ah that elegante is lovely. Such a shame they ditched the rose.

Quick question for the professionals... that Cronel Jet-King has a very strange ticking sound. Every other watch I've listened to has a tick-tick-tick-tick, very sharp and normal sound. This one has an incredibly hollow tong-tong-tong-tong. It's almost like the tick is hitting against a cowbell or something.
Any clues as to why?
It is keeping time fine, maybe +20 seconds in 24 hours which is tolerable for a late 60's early 70's unserviced Swiss movement.

Can be caused by a number of things but two of my watches have that sound as a result of the second hand resonating as it ticks.
-
• #26924
I kind of like it as a quirk, so long as it is not a symptom of a fault. Certainly sounds like resonating/vibration.

I think my Rolex Sub does it actually. I'm quite fond of it too.
been considering a metro datum gangreserve for ages (and narrowly missed an opportunity to buy on here) but a challenger has appeared https://monochrome-watches.com/review-nomos-orion-de-stijl-limited-edition-ace-jewelers-price/
