@BRM last night I dreamt I went to your office and retrieved from your bin a Rolex Watch box. You bought the watch new in the shops and had threw the box away. Just letting you know that if I have the same dream again I will be selling the box.
Oh, I think the Watch was a datejust with a blue dial and jubilee bracelet -

Cheers, I'll check those out.

Lost my dear Seiko SNZG15 today while swimming :(
-
• #25556
As in due to water ingress or literally fell off the wrist?
-
• #25558
Watch gone. There was a swing/jump thing, I reckon the pins came loose on impact with the water

On a nato or...?

Thanks. The watch will be to keep and enjoy so I feel, that said, that as long as the watch is legit, we won't be too picky if we can't find one with all the gubbins.

Yes

Any idea what part number the right ends would be, 898? And presumably Omega will charge a bomb for them.
-
• #25563
They charge a bomb for everything. Wanted £70 for a new battery!

Wtf, rang a boutique and asked if they could order in some end links for me. I said it’s for an aftermarket bracelet so all I need is the spare endlink that would fit the case.
“Unless it’s for an Omega bracelet we can’t order them for you”

Can ejay help with this sort of thing?
-
• #25568
Mad that both spring bars gave way. RIP.
-
• #25569
I think that would look horrendous on a bracelet. If it wasn't available on one originally then don't retro fit as they always look shocking.
I am sure Abingdon has forgiven you...... -

This.
-
• #25571
No? I’d just like to make it useable for other occasions
-
• #25572
Finish on the case and bracelet there are different - strap all day. Obvs your watch but the strap looks great. What ejay said.
-
• #25573
FWIW I like the bracelet look and anyway, you’ll be wearing it so don’t listen to these bedwetters :p
But IMO don’t bother with an aftermarket bracelet. Save up for the real deal. Find the model and go hunting, it’ll take a while to find one at the right price but it’ll be worth it. -

For people with one arm that need to use their teeth? Maybe to help divers get to the bottom quicker?
Not very. Even less likely to have legit ones. Might sound obvious, but you can't wear a box or papers either.
All that said, if you've got the choice then at worse it will always make the watch easier to sell and will usually increase value.
