My Uncle worked for Braun in Germany, he used to get very upset when people pronounced it "brawn" and always corrected them to "brown".

I often see them at car boot sales. Most are sold by dealers who want £20 for them, but I once found a Copal one for £4 and sold it for £35. They're usually known as 'flip clocks'

I used to have an AW22 but sold it to soperRiva as I couldn't ever wear it as a daily (I am a watch destroyer). There were lots of NOS AW- watches on ebay when I last looked.

it lives in its case, coming out when I have dressy occasions/ want to.

I can't wear a watch day to day. Hate having anything on my forearm, but love watches.

I just can't look at those Braun's without thinking of electric shavers. For that reason, I'm out.

My AW22 was £80 new, I think the Chronographs were something like £140, but the re-released ones might be much more expensive.

i think i might have seen on this thread an american-assembled rolex , possibly something to do with wartime import law?? had a different logo to usual rolexes..

have i dreamed it all up?
