you should wear it more unless it is in danger of being damaged in some way. life itself is a special occasion, no?
+1
I wear my Speedy all the time - It's a good watch - why not? There's no point in having nice things if you don't enjoy them.

i have an omega , the olympic albatross one that needs repairing as one of the hands flops down when it wants to and re waterproofing, i might see what they say a basic service would cost
The second hand on my Geneve does that. Let me know what they quote, as I need to get it fixed.

the portuguese ones are nice! love them.
ive got a baume et mercier capeland. loved it back then but prefer watches with big clean simple watch faces now (like that ^ old seamaster up there).
i never wear a watch whilst riding. find it annoying
everyday use is my €30 watch. 4yrs on, still going strong

French watch FTW!! (late 40s)
Loic
Hey did we meet at East drinks after the Tweed ride? I'm sure you showed me this. I think you clocked (geddit) my 1930s Mappin. Will post a pic soon. Not having owned a mechanical watch before any tips on winding? Not sure when/how much really.

austin kaye on the strand have been there for a long time. paperwork and serial numbers are key because if you have one that is registered stolen and you ever take it in to be serviced you might arrive in a taxi and leave in a police car watchless. also the fakes are very good and again you might leave watchless.

i have a nixon 'time teller' (literally, that's what it's called) it wasn't expensive but it has massive sentimental damage. despite the fact that it's falling apart and now looks stupid i can't bare to send it off to get fixed because i'm worried they'll loose it.
it was recently featured in the sunday times style magazine 'hot or not' list. in the hot section, clearly.

I've got this:
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Quartz. It's a very nice watch. It's the first watch of this quality I've ever owned and is definitely worth the investment in my opinion. I look forward to making further additions to my collection.

It tends to come out on special occasions.
As do I.
I have a Patek Phillippe in my drawer at home but never wear it...
You are no longer my son.
I was once picking up a package from Patek and the store monkey was showing a customer a watch costing £500,000. Never a suicide bomber about when you need one. -
