  • Just picked this baby up:

I'm bringing steampunk into the realm of awesome.

  • serious patina :)

  • Hell yes. I'm probably going to get it properly restored at some point but I'm really going to enjoy wearing it like that for a while. I love the idea that timepieces themselves become subject to time.

  • please don't let them touch that dial.

found a key for my pocket watch today........yippee.

  • That watch looks fucked mate...

    get urself one of these.

  • I am selling my Tag here if anyone is interested.

leave it as it is, it look fucking awesome.

  • Rat watch

  • Just got my 60's Oris mechanical back from the menders, had the glass polished while I was at it and am now keeping it for best. I'm guessing that if I just wind it once every week or two then let it run out I'm going to run in to reliability issues. Am I worrying too much or should I keep winding it every night?

  • They should be kept wound- my old CEO had a slightly disquieting looking cabinet thing that had velvet "wrists" for the watches that moved constantly to keep the (automatic) watches wound.

It always put me in mind of cilia, albeit very large purple velvet cilia.

  • A few people asked about this at yesterday's Tweed Run

    Movado Triple Date & Moonphase

  • BOOM! It arrived courtesy of the ninja antics that Fedex posess.

Slapped-on the nato and fat pins and it looks rather tasty. Its about as large as I can get away with but it looks 'right'.

  • me likes

  • Some stupidly nice watches in here!
Rock a Suunto Core altimeter watch:

not the prettiest but makes nice graphs of ascent and descent:

  • Or get one of those fancy digital ones.

    I bloody love my Casio.

  • Does anyone wear the Garmin 405 as a watch, rather than purely for training?

  • This would look awesome on the right strap...

  • Dial is ok. Bezel is a bit meh.

  • Whole watch is shit

    Hippy'd like it though

  • The new seiko is nice btw^^^^

  • Greetings watch watchers,

If you can bring yourself to buy a copy of the torygraph today, there is a glossy watch porn suppliment with it. Lots of high end bling and some articles (read: advertorials).

NB: Telegraph purchase disclaimer: we have it at work.

I do but I'm a bit Ved on the matter. Bezel's not doing it for me.

    lovely! another antique market find?

The bezel isnt exactly hot-stuff but the face is nice.

Do you think the vibrations of cycling is bad for an automatic?

  • I think I like the Seiko. The face and the little wotsit at the top of the bevel are a kinda art-deco. The bevel and case are a bit macho-bland though.
