The hour hand is the best bit. 😎

Have the prices always stayed strong for these automatic divers? I appreciate a good automatic is a lifetime investment, but until now I didn't know people were still paying such prices for even the older-but-not-vintage models.
I'm sticking to my quartz chrono by Stendardo for now, until I come across a bargain auto.

Rocking this today. Only watch with gold bits that I actually like the look of.

Sod's Law, my HS8 (which I was going to wear to my wedding on Saturday) seems to be sticking. The crown and stem kept pulling all the way out recently, but all working fine, and today the second hand sticks 2 or 3 times a minute.
Anyone on here have the knowledge to give it a look over? I've not got a lot of spare cash at the moment so can't afford to send it away anywhere and would love (if poss) to get it working again by Saturday...!

8 day power reserve...

I was just reading about this too. Think I may be in love with the gold-speckled dial

I can't get past the hour hand on the Tudor watches, that square ruins them for me.

Fucking hell. Prices start at £60k

Hour hand banished. 😬

Just wear it. In twenty years when your looking through your pictures of the big day and you catch a glimpse of it popping out from under your sleeve you would have forgotten that it was losing two seconds an hour. When you give it to your grandson it will still come with the story "I wore this when I married your grandmother."

Plus if you're late blame the watch...

Sage advice, you're right. I just read this out to the missus and she's wiping tears from her eyes

prs 82
I've looked at those. There are lots of sentimental reasons it appeals.... and aesthetic obvs.
Have you seen one in the flesh? That's what I'm nervous about. You can easily bounce a Seiko dive watch on at -10% if I didn't like it, but I don't about the time factors.
The other irrational thing is although I like less obvious brands, I don't attribute the same brand cachet. There's something attractively honest about watches like casio, swatch, or seiko.

That's how you nail attention to detail on a watch.
The proportions are perfect and the level of flair is neither too much nor too little. Then there's the case back:
10/10 - would bang

I thought the whole idea of a naff showcase back was to show the movement?

A quick look at ebay completed listings shows that the Precista 82s generally sell on for £350+
Some timefactors watches do incredibly well second hand, but I think those tend to be the limited edition ones.

In this instance, it's to show the power reserve (which is 8 days!!!?!!?!111) which is mounted on the movement bridge instead of the dial to keep it as clean as possible.
In typical GS style, the only embellishment is the bridge plate decoration designed to represent Mount Fuji.
11/10 - oh mummy

Somehow even @ 60k it still manages to fit in with casio and lorus at the same time.

Bit of 'time' on my hands yesterday so popped in to see Lord Foster massage his ego.

I think we need a bit of classic Swiss style and obsolete technology to counter all this appalling far-eastern bling.

Bond Villain Levels.
Cheers for the suggestion. I'm not tied to Seiko, but I sort of want a "dive brand". Oris 65 would be idea, but a bit too spenny at the mo.
