Pelagos or Black bay black?
-
• #18728
Correct. I tried one on but it was slightly too big for me. Still lovely.
I wear the Explorer 90% of the time. It's the perfect size for me.
Happy to meet somewhere and bring them with me.

Black Bay Black is moot . As there aren't any left , not just with us but anywhere .

When I talked to this guy http://www.fitzroviawatches.co.uk/ he was still getting Black Bay Blacks on strap (couldn't get any more on bracelet)

.

Yes, took a bit less than a week. Came from an AD in Malta.

Think my Pelagos similar time on the wrist.
I try to put the thing down but near impossible. :oP

Explorer 1 is ~£3,500 in Heathrow, can you get that price in the UK?
-
• #18737
Nope, not even from Iconic Watches. List price is £4300.
You'd be buying the outgoing, small-handed version*, if that matters to you.
(*lots of nicknames doing the rounds, my favourite is the Trumpy Explorer)

I was not aware that there was a new version coming out- changes limited to larger hands, or is there more?
-
• #18739
The numerals at 3,6 and 9 on the new version will be lume-filled, like on the previous 36mm watch, instead of solid white gold, and the hands are a little longer and chunkier. Everything else is the same, I believe, it even keeps the same reference number 214270.

You can see the lume a bit more clearly here:

Looks bigger in the photograph than it does on my wrist... It's so cute...

Lovely. What size is that, 34mm?

Put the Shark Diver on a cheap leather starp and am enjoying it

I like that. Where might one purchase one in the UK?
-
• #18745
They are only sold online from Hong Kong. Each of my three Helsons arrived in less than 72 hours. They deliver quick.
-
• #18746
Looks great. Helsons were getting a bit of a pasting a few pages back but they look like great watches to me: modern and classic and a bit niche.
-
• #18747
As Stoney said they're out of HK, but they're quick to deliver and the customer service is decent, think it's quite a small team. Their website's shite tho, not the best advert for them.

• #18748
It's 32mm so a little smaller than I'd normally wear... My little Rotary GT beater is a 34mm and I can just about get away with that...

did you get stung for customs/VAT/Whatever?
The only one of the 4 you dont have is the Tudor right?
I might take you up on that. What one do you find yourself wearing most?
