I saw this in Harrogate today. Really lovely wee thing, I would love to buy it, but... Firstly, it's 34mm, and I'm not sure I could carry that off, I tried a 36mm Explorer recently and that felt on the small side. Secondly, it's fifty years old. Can watches that old survive daily wear and tear for long?

I have a 50 year old watch. It should be ok if serviced.

Yeah, movements of that era by ETA are rock-solid. You risk it having been run dry which wears the pivots and leads to poor positional variance in timing (not that likely though) and also poor previous maintenance skills where anything can happen, but again, unlikely to have happened.
If you buy from a shop, then I'd expect it to be recently serviced and showing on a timegrapher that it should absolutely stay within say, a minute a day. Something more like 10s would be more realistic for one in great running condition.

Picked up one of these in the very hard to find smaller size, been wearing it for the past few weeks, absolutely love it. Ray Mears has good taste. Citizen Promaster Tough Titanium. Solar powered as well which is pretty cool. Got the slightly larger one for sale if anybody is interested. They're tough as old boots.

i've seen a new watch i fancy and it's a 'one in one out' policy for me - anyone interested in a square street minuteman?
single hour hand but very easy to read, not like those crazy 24hr Botta versions which pickle your mind. It's also out very nice hand-made Italian Mazzuchelli acetate
£120 new, in new condition with box £80 delivered

It was in Space, an online retailer of older watches has a display case in there.
Thanks for the advice everyone. Going to mull it over.

The larger one... Pics? They're good, very solid watches. I'd be interested - want to change from my SKX007.

On the subject of the SKX007...
I'm selling mine that I bought from @radar, I'm just not going to wear it often enough
As new condition, looking for £100 posted please as that's what I paid and I've worn it for a total of 7 days since!

Long shot, but is anyone after a brand new Eulit perlon strap, 16mm black. Ordered by mistake and haven't found the wherewithal to post it back. £6?

Thinking of ordering a steinhart. Wanted to know if I order the ceramic inlay option do I get both bezels or does the watch come fitted with the bezel? As buying the cerAmic inlay costs the same as buying the standard watch and buying the ceramic inlay as an extra accessory?
-
• #16625
They wouldn't fit my ceramic bezel, I had to do it myself... Shit watches, I wouldn't bother...
Or this...
