The EXPII is so clunky, inelegant, oversized and crude. IMO it looks like a Lego watch in comparison, and even worse in real life.
That's what I used to think before my tastes matured ;-)
40mm version obvs. -

Yeah, had you posted the 40mm version, I'd be more inclined to agree. Much like my, much loved, GMT. The size/shape difference between the 40 and 42 is much more pronounced than 2mm would suggest.

Really want a 5513 Submariner from 1987...perhaps for my 30th!?

Second hand Explorer 2's seem to be within £500 of a new one, I can't see the point of buying used if the saving is not significant.

I'd take an Explorer 1 over a 2 as well... But I'd probably go one step further and get a 60s one...

Those are so small. 36mm watches are for kids and birds

Over a 2.
Deep Sea or GTFO?

The fashion (and that's all it is) for large 'compensatory' watches is thankfully on the wane. It'll take a few years for the masses to catch up but they will eventually.

A 40 feels about right to me, I feel a bit silly wearing my Flieger these days...

I thought it was just an interference fit. Is it loose when you push it back on?
-
• #15544
Yes, just slides right back off again

^ Matt crown but polished case / bezel, wtf? All shades of wrong.

I kinda like it, and I kinda want to smash it. Makes me think it's what Apple would do, if they made a 'normal' watch.

Its growing on me. Still, the hands and power reserve just miss the mark, IMO.

Nah.

The North Flag and updated Pelagos feature Tudors very own production movements, silicon hairsprings at 4Hz, 70 hours power reserve. MT5612 in the Pelagos, which now comes in blue, has Pelagos on the dial + its COSC stamp of approval.

Depends, the attractive vintage models usually go up not down. So hi street has some good pros, warranty, boxed, no service for 5 years, sparkly new etc. Not saying a deal with authorised reseller is out doe.
