  • I've had somehting go missing from Fedex. I don't know how it happened, it's still v unclear, but eventually I was just told that it had been destroyed....??!? I hope yours turns up and doesn't meet that fate

fortunately it was a replaceable pair of shoes and after a massive argument and threats of court I got sent a new pair.

    Fingers crossed for you though

  • I think I may have damaged my Steinhart Ocean One.... the bezel rotation has stiffened up a little and I have no idea why... there seems to be a touch of side to side play as well, almost as if it's expanded by a fraction of a millimetre...

    anyone else experienced that?

  • I'll give you a tenner for it... Can u post 2 malaysia?

  • You can usually lift bezels off to clean them. Most often there will be a round spring with flats on it which takes up any play. There's a correct tool for lifting at both sides simultaneously which is a bit like a headset remover.

  • £60 with my buckles.

  • not Cordovan :)

  • £80 for a new case is pretty amazing value for money...

  • How much is cordovan then?

  • Apple Watch launched today, I'm assuming you'll all be selling yr bracelets?

  • Really hoping it is the begining of the end... B-)

  • Unless I get a Dick Tracy style wrist radio from Apple, it ain't replacing my Swatch.

  • i'll get one if it's a decent fitness thing for cycling, better than my polar if the HRM works well, will only be buying the basic alloy sports one though, they don't look nice enough for an everyday wearer

  • Toshi charges 130, I'll do mine for 95, with a decent buckle.

  • Apple charging up to $500 for a strap, shirly shum mishtake

  • You think $500 for a strap is bad? Compare the Edition models...

    $5000 for a gold buckle!

  • Mental, and a massively cynical attempt to sell to people who don't look at price tags

  • Which is exactly what rolex do with their replusive diamond and pink things I guess

  • Great headline in Telegraph about the most advanced timepiece evar...

With a battery life of 18hrs.

    B-)

  • Actually I think the Edition version is a really bad decision; it looks blingy and a bit un-Apple, they don't need the super-rich's business, and it gives them bad press, as '$10k watch' will be the headline and the thing casual observers will remember

  • This is their 10K MINK

  • Question is, will it burn through the shit in Ive's eyes?

  • Bert Oosterbosch's Omega Chrono-Quartz, freshly serviced £1350.

It's for sale over on TZ-UK, but you will need to be a qualified member to see the advert. No messers please, but I'll try to get details for anyone seriously interested.

I'm sure there is a name for the sort of product that Apple make. It's like the anti-Veblen. A product that is the best in class, but affordable to the masses. The iPhone, for example...considered the best thing out there, and the same thing used by highschool students and the Hollywood A-list. The can of Coke you drink is the same as the President drinks etc.

    They've now moved outside that.
