I was going to suggest the Tudor Hydronaut too.
Nice one here but at the top end of your budget

I'm popping into Zurich airport, anyone after a Swatch Sistem51? They were about £110 last time.

I love mine... anyone on the fence should definitely get one!

Only thing I don't really like about hydronauts is the bezel markings between 12 and 3. Otherwise they are quite elegant, the bigger sizes too.
I don't like much of what Alasal ever has in the window. Nice guys though. Austin Kaye on the other hand I could gawp in for hours.

Sits perfectly within your budget too... Deville and Geneve Seamasters FTW!

I've ordered my Poljot Sturmanskie Civil. Paid more than I'd have liked to, but there don't seem to be any 2nd hand and I couldn't find any other mechanical watches that I liked anywhere near as much. I'm all excited now!

Sounds like a good reason to buy a watch! Share pics when it comes.

Yes, one thing I like about my (men's size) one is that it still fits under a shirt cuff, unlike most other dive watches, and looks reasonably understated.

Or Movado?
Edit
Sorry, late to the party, meant for ladies watches query above. -

@coppiThat (I can't seem to figure out how to quote on the new forum), that Omega listed on ebay has a movement that dates to early 1940's. Not sure how that case dates, although I initially thought 1960s! Shame about the missing baton at 12 o'clock. I think I would pass.

Possibly somebody here will be able to help a little... My dad's mechanical watch has been up in the loft of my family home since roughly the mid 90's. Recently I rediscovered it and thought it would be nice to wear it. After looking at the watch it didn't appear to work, even after winding it up, nothing. A week ago I dropped it off at a watch specialist and today I collected it; now it works like a charm. The guy seemed enthusiastic to see the watch and thought the amount I paid to get it repaired was well worth it, maybe unsurprising eh. My mum recalls how she bought it originally for their 5th wedding anniversary, but can anyone date the watch or suggest a rough value? Just like on Antiques Roadshow it's more about the sentimental value, but curious nonetheless. Thanks.

i guess cleaning the insides didnt do it any harm but did you try shaking it after you wound it?

rodabod, omega on the bay- still looks attractive. the case styling could easily be ahead of its time. he does state 1940's in the description.
i would be concerned if the missing baton wasnt inside as that would say that its been opened up and who knows what done to it. that said he doesnt appear to be new on the block and has sold some nice watches if you click completed (the midi sized tudor has been a boomerang though). -

£75-100 - there's one on eBay that ends tomorrow

• #13720
Can't say I did. The repair guy asked if it had been dropped as it was damaged internally with a new part being ordered.

Sorry was that in reply to me?
