I sold it to him last week. Every night before I close my eyes I cry a little.

34mm tho.
My Rolex 5700 was 34mm and I really liked it size wise. Bit of a shock when swapping between my 45mm divers though.

I may or may not be bidding on that Rolex by the way... Before I get in a price war with anyone.

Your wrists are too fat Iain.

I've seen bigger men than you wearing a 34mm watch. Can't say they looked stupid.

I'm in love with this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Vintage-Gents-Large-Solid-9ct-Gold-Rolex-Watch-TEARDROP-LUGS-Stunning-/151343220314?ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:GB:1123
I have a feeling that it might finish outside of my price range...
Lovely! Looks really really similar to my Cortébert. Looks like the exact same case and similar dial
Apparently the two companies worked together at some point?

Talking about how the size on the wrist looks = aesthetics.
Whether you want to wear a big or small watch is your choice, but don't be fooled into thinking a small watch will look bad. A nice watch is a nice watch. Conversely I could pull off wearing a huge face on my tiny wrists if I chose wisely.

PAH!
youve ruined a bad debate with logic and sensibility...
Someone has to fight the big watch corner.

I've been paying attention to watches for about 24 hours. I now want a Russian watch that they only made 1000 of. I should just get a casio or something.

Any idea where one might source a Poljot Sturmanskie Zivil? Any more easily obtainable equivalents?
