  • That might be a bit premature.

    Though she's used to that!

At least the trombone isn't a rusty one.

  • Sea smeller? Pffft, you want a Pegalump - for the more discerning gentleman :)

  • By the time I have saved up for whatever I buy I will probably have changed my mind a dozen times.

  • Back on topic a little, I think that my big watch purchase is going to be a Sea Dweller. I think my love of big dive watches is never going to go away.

Has anybody on here got one? Pics?
    new one or preloved ?

  • Mrs G just bought herself a steel DW, looks great on her puny wrists

  • new one or preloved ?

I'm thinking new at the moment but if a decent preloved one made an appearance I'd be open to the idea. Its a bit academic at the moment, prob won't be able to spare the cash for a few months.

Not at all academic cos sea dweller was only re released at Basel this year and the first allocation sold thru very quickly so you probably can't buy one new at the mo anyway . We sold ours immediately . Sea dweller sits between "standard " Submariner and Deep Sea , both size wise and financially .
So my advice , look for a tidy pre loved one but you prob won't save much off new or put a deposit on one so by the time the cash is burning a hole in your pocket they may have one in stock .

  • Yo Joe. Are ya gonna bid on this? :-)

Saw that earlier, it's the same guy, isn't it?

No watches for me... Tho I have just booked in three weeks for next month... Hmmm... ;)

  • Same guy, much better pix. Looks kosher after all. Hmmm fondles wallet

  • So, can it be shortened, by like 10mm?

This guy may be able to make you a new strap or mod that one:

  • ... But it sounds like you should get a refund to me.

Identical to the watch I was wearing for that very short, sweet time...

If I'm honest, I'd go for the larger version next time... It feels small...

  • Yeah, it's little, but lovely. See I don't like big watches, especially with shirt cuffs and jackets (which is what I am often wearing).

Hmm. Now do I have the money, and can I be arsed to go to Manchester? Bleurgh, Eccles even. Probably neither.

  • Fuck Eccles. Fuck their cakes too.

Going by the posts on TZ, there are dealers up and down the country with them in stock trying to shift them. The speculation is that they were supposed to be released at Basel 2013, but were delayed but it meant they had a head start on production and more stock because of it. That could be utter rubbish, but I do know for a fact that everyone I know of that's wanted one managed to get one, right from within a couple of days of release right up until last week. Been a fair few on the 2nd hand market too, relatively speaking. Not that they've hung around long, mind.

Possibly true , but all I know is we sold our first ones immediately and we don't have allocation for next month so we don't know when ours will be replaced . And we ordered at Basel which means usually you get looked after on stock .
Is a fantastic piece so I hope there are some about . Just not too many !

  • Interestingly as well was speculation around Basel and some watch bloggers was that the deep sea was being dropped . Not that we have heard that tho .

  • I got a refund on that morherfucker.

  • Watch or GF?

  • exactly what i was thinking.

  • Let's hope it was the GF. That watch will make a lovely gift for someone to treasure.

  • Hmm. I had considered the ambiguity when posting that comment. The watch.
