So yeah, that's what I'll be doing, I need a nice daily watch, that I won't hesitate to wear when riding a bike for example (I've had to pay through the nose for a repair on my Aqua Terra after crashing whilst wearing it)
43.6mm..... dat's pretty large though.

How Top Watchmakers Intervene in Auctions
GENEVA -- In the rarefied world of watch collecting, where Wall Street investment bankers and Asian millionaires buy and sell at auctions, a timepiece can command a higher price than a luxury car. At an April event here, a 1950s Omega platinum watch sold for $351,000, a price that conferred a new peak of prestige on a brand known for mass-produced timepieces.Watch magazines and retailers hailed the sale, at an auction in the lush Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the River Rhone. Omega trumpeted it, announcing that a "Swiss bidder" had offered "the highest price ever paid for an Omega watch at auction."
What Omega did not say: The buyer was Omega itself. (click title for the rest of the article)

Both lovely, I've got a real soft spot for the JLC Memovox.

Talk about fast delivery...This is already at Timpsons getting the bracelet shortened a little. They're great for small jobs on non-premium watches, only ask for you to put a few coins in a charity bucket in return.
First impressions are that I'm extremely happy with it. the build quality is excellent and has a nice weight to it. The second hand ticks, but the chrono hand just sails round.
Not obtrusively large, but certainly not dainty. V. pleased; just what I was after from a daily watch (in comparison to the quartz Seamaster)

Just bought myself a timegrapher, partly as the Dollar exchange rate is good just now, and also because this seller has agreed to put a low customs declaration value.

I suppose I can offer to regulate people's watches if they ever want that. Or if you want a general health check.
How are you getting on with this thing? Are all your watches now running to COSC standards? If you are in London I would mind you having a crack at a 7S26 I have, currently losing about a minute a day.
