  • Is it heavy?

  • Sweatproof or it comes with a plastic wrapper?

  • It prepares soups before the ninna nanna?

  • Now discontinued in steel and gold as pictured . Omega still does speedmaster day date but only in steel in the uk . Is omega calibre 3606 I believe . Lovely watch .

Cheers, helped me identify it a bit better. Looking for something a bit classier to replace my orange monster as a watch with a bit of heft to it but am currently undecided. Quite liking this titanium IWC aquatimer

  • Classy looking lump. Not sure about the hands though.

Nice vintage speedmaster mark 2 ?

  • That's some, um, patina.

  • Just needs a new glass and service is not that bad actually . And is 43 years old !

  • I just picked this little bad boy up, can't stop smiling...

If you download the IWC iPhone app you can browse the current collection, try them on virtually and take on the wrist screenshots.

  • That Speedmaster looks quite nice (under the marks) I may be interested after it's been serviced. Any ideas on price?

  • I reckon will be about 1200 to 1500 , depending on how much service comes in at . It really is clean under the dial . Omega just reissuing the mark 2 at £3800 ish .

  • Photographer I was working with today was wearing this, lovely sweep hand on it

Tell him he needs to get the day/date sorted ;)

  • Swapped the hands on my SKX007 today - looks surprisingly good imo.

  • Good work. I think once you have done something to your watch it becomes more 'yours'.

I tried again the other day, and my beginner's luck ran out. Or my hammer wasn't big enough.

  • oh, yes, the plunger hands.

  • Is anyone heading to Baselworld this week or just Switzerland in general?

    I'm after something...

  • Is there somewhere that sells 'hands' or are they cannibalised off other watches?

  • Depends. There are aftermarket hands for those Seiko models, but it's quite a small niche space.

This is the person I got mine from as recommended by Murts

  • This will be my next watch:-

You could try yobokies possibly. Although I've only ever bought a complete watch from him http://s161.photobucket.com/user/yobokies/library/?sort=3&page=1

  • ^^ for a moment there, I thought that was the back of the watch.

My whole office apart from me is going... bloody liberty.

  • Ha. That sucks.

All I'm after is for someone to pick me up a swatch at the airport...

  • Aren't we all, dear...

    Speak for yourself petal!

Bit of a way off, but I'm in Spain for a wedding at the end of May - I can give it to my parents and they can post it to you, if you like.
