The slide rule bezel actually comes in surprisingly handy, fuel/oil conversions less so I must admit...
Also, any of you folk happen to have a spring bar tool I could borrow?
I do.

You said that about a Milgauss 12 months ago...
And why, anyway? Does anyone even dive to 9 million feet?

I think the chunkiness and size are attractive, even for a non-diver

I've got a weird situation. I sold my Seiko Monster to my brother and it has been gaining an increasing amount of time each day. Its up to +40s a day now.
I sent it back to Yorkshire Watches and they have said that it has a very irregular beat and has "signs of being tampered with"and that the warranty *has *been invalidated. When I asked for details they said that there are scratches on the back which look like the caseback have been removed but they actually haven't looked inside yet and are planning on making the decision on whether the caseback has been opened based on how much torque they need to use to open it themselves.
Sounds very dodgy to me. If it has been opened and tampered with it was sold to me like that!

Nah, he's a reputable guy, G, I've bought off him before... Not eBay BTW...
But yeah, all of the above will be happening...

I had a similar experience recently, tried to sell my iPhone 4 to CEX, left it with them for inspection, went to collect and they rejected it because the screws were aftermaket. I'd had it from new and it has never been serviced. I'm assuming some fucking scrote in-store swapped them out while it was with them, CEX seems like that sort of place.

Bastards! Lets see what Yorkshire Watches come back and say. If they say it has been opened I'll kick off with them for what its worth.
On a separate note, I think I'm going to buy a case back opener just to have a ganders inside my Rolex to see what the problem with it is. I expect to find that the movement is made from cheese.

Joe - I'm very surprised this is from Neil at Chronomaster, I've dealt with him in past and he is top guy. Odd.

I do.
Good excuse to pop out to Easts! I've decided to keep the steel bracelet on the Seiko as it's not as overly flashy as it looked in the photos. But I did just buy myself a "beater" watch that I can wear when I'm likely to bugger up the watch! Not digging the alligator skin though so will replace it soon.
Though the slide rule is pretty inaccurate in parts!

It's the watch gods saying TS should have gotten a Snowflake and giving him a second chance to do it right.
This is on TZ atm and it's doing funny things to me.
