IWC's are a bit... i dunno. bland and half-way there. they're like a trip to ibiza with your parents.

Hey did we meet at East drinks after the Tweed ride? I'm sure you showed me this. I think you clocked (geddit) my 1930s Mappin. Will post a pic soon. Not having owned a mechanical watch before any tips on winding? Not sure when/how much really.
Maybe! I vaguely remember that, but vaguely only due to... couple of beers, hum..., I mean, I was tired after the tweed run... Post a pics of your watch, that will refresh my memory!

That's later than 68.
A 68 should have a 321 calibre, applied omega logo and the tritium should extend over the sub-second markers./geek

I have a plain Rolex with no date bubble and steel strap given to me for my 18th birthday. Have worn it pretty much constantly for 22 years. Couldnt really imagine life without it.
I did have a Omega Seamaster given to me by my grandfather - unfortunately it had a yachting accident and now resides at the bottom of the Solent.

want…
That's the only Tag heuer I want. If I can find a decent early reissue (without Tag on the dial) for a good price I will buy it.
When the 40th anniversary Monaco is launched I bloody want one.
