I have a lovely vintage nos Rado (which i've mentioned in other threads) fairly small face, discreet. I love it but I very rarely wear it during the day for fear of busting it up.
Currently looking for a massive gshock - frogman - pro trek type thing if any one has owt spare.

I like classic Omegas and pre-Tag Heuers. I can't afford any of the latter though.
I have a Speedmaster pro, a Connie F300 and a Geneve Dynamic.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t246/londonbabe_photo/zowie2.jpgI'd like a Heuer Silverstone and an original Monaco, but I'll never find either for less than a squillion quid.

I have a really old omega (1920's - although don't quote me) that has been in for repair for well over a year now, can't really remember what it looks like but the watchmaker who has it is really interested in all the history and has been tracking down original glass etc.

I have a Sinn.
It's the best mechanical watch I could afford. I do love it, but would absolutely love something nicer one day.

I have a soft spot for Nixon watches, and silly LED ones from Tokyo Flash.

Lovely
It still works fine as well. Did think about getting it restored, but it would lose the patina, which would be a crime.

I am a sucker for the Casio Waveceptor watches, Have one G-Shock and one dress watch. I love the whole synching to the atomic clock malarkey.
Was clearly over influenced by National Pornographic as a kid and a few years ago bought a Rolex of similar age to myself. Wanted it to be v simple, stainless steel oyster with a plain fascia. It tends to come out on special occasions.

you should wear it more unless it is in danger of being damaged in some way. life itself is a special occasion, no?

I've got a Gold one of these but it's not a De Ville and it has a gold bracelet. I inherited it from my Granddad, but I've never thought to get it checked out. It stopped working a while back and I can't afford £300 for a service by Omega.
http://www.ulugtekin.com/pen/Ulugtekin%20Luxury/Vintage/Omega_Seamaster_Deville_Automatic/Omega_Seamaster_Deville_Automatic_44.JPGI've got one of these:
(£35 from Costco nearly 5 years ago!)http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/511H3160HGL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
One of these with a broken strap:

I used to have a gorgeous Rado that I really cherished. Black small face, very slim hands, no markings at all. It was very thin and light, leather strap, very discreet. Had a tiny diamond to represent 12. Unfortunately got thieved by a maid in some ropey hotel in Pakistan.
Oh also, I can offer my G Shock for if you want? Might not be big enough, and I'm pretty sure mine looks slightly different to that. I don't have it with me at uni so I can't put a real photo up.

^ what he said. Sending it back to Omega is expensive and takes months because they do a complete restoration and you get back a watch in virtually brand new condition.
If you just want it fixed, take it to a reputable watch repairer. It will be much cheaper.

i have an omega , the olympic albatross one that needs repairing as one of the hands flops down when it wants to and re waterproofing, i might see what they say a basic service would cost
I noticed on another thread that there is a bit of a passion for writstwatches within this forum. I thought it would be nice to share our likes and dislikes. Our dream watches and junk shop or flea market finds. watches we'll have repaired one day but in the meantime we are happy to just look at. occasionally i hear that folk dont wear wristwatches or carry pocket watches because they have a mobile phone but i cannot imagine not wearing a wristwatch, i never take mine off. All watches please; automatic , battery , digital , jump hour , kinetic , binary , led. if you like it show it. also where do you get yours repaired or serviced?
let it not be about the price tag but more about how lovely you think it looks, if by coincidence it costs mega money then fair play.
here's one i found at a flea market two weeks ago for three pounds. it keeps perfect time and i love it. i love that the dial is slightly browning. it has a chrome case and leather strap. its mechanical wind and a full wind lasts about three days i think. the ticking is not intrusive.
turn back your cuff and show me what you got!
