Well, I have a jimmy Hill chin, a very pointed nose and I wax my legs. This gives me the Cd of a shaven ferret.
I'll decline the invite if its OK with you, however any time you want to pop down to Kent I'll happily take you for a nice toodle.

Who are Dave Brailsford and Brad Wiggins?
As stated, 35 MPH from the Eyethorne turn off on the A256 to Eastry. Spinning @ 140- 150.
And don't my legs know it now..oo... .i.
Looking at the contour lines on the map, it appears to be a little bit downhill for the most part (maybe 1% - significant at those kind of speeds); plus of course your 15-20mph tailwind, and possibly traffic draft as it's a dual carriageway.
Maybe there was a droplet of rain on the computer that made a '2' look like a '3', or maybe a '0' look like a '5'...

I'll concede the incline wind and traffic (although it does look flat when your riding it), but I wasn't raining at the time, just damp after a shower.

Why do you keep writing this? Why not just write Toodle Pip without the dots.
He's scared of Pistanator. :)

Arducius did do just under 40 MPH at 48:18 downhill, that is just under 190-200rpm at that cadence.
-
• #472
I've mentioned on here before that I've topped 40mph in 46x18, and I think fixedwheelnut has too.
But it has absolutely no bearing on whether someone can sustain 35mph @ 160rpm on the flat for 2 miles.

Awesome RPM ... I must have missed it.
Crazy RPM, I was racing him down and I could only keep that up for a few seconds (I have cheating freewheel at same GI), he managed substantially longer.
Anyone past the 200rpm mark has my respect, it something my legs just can't do ... I am all slow muscle so I just can't do it.

Find a steep enough hill (and safe enough), fit a fixed sprocket, and 'most people' could do 200rpm ;)

Well I definetely ain't one of them.
Why do you keep writing this? Why not just write Toodle Pip without the dots. Also why write it at all?
