ya, i accidently worked it out in kph. Ive only recently started converting speed into mph
so QuickVit was right, its 24.39977399mph to be exact. Or approx 38kph
mach is 761.2mph or about 1200kph -
• #209
24.4 it was. Boringly slow. I much preferred the warp speed 1.819221216032059e-8

Pullled over by an irate policeman doing 35 in a 30 zone. That is 50 16 though.

1.82e-8 means basically means 0.00000000182 mph if I counted my zeroes correctly.

dude, its 1.82 to the "e" not times 10 to the power of -8
and i think its presented as 1.82e x -8
e is approx 2.711.82x2.71x(-8) is **~39.56kph i.e. 24.56mph**
-
• #214
No. That's how it's presented on digital displays. 1.82e-8 = 1.82 x 10^-8

You’re all just blowing your own trumpet
(I’m ready to get told to f off)
I’m like a tortoise so I haven’t got anything to brag about but if I did I wouldn’t
As long as it makes you feel better about yourself then go ahead -

has anyone seen the speedo on Mare st that shows you how fast you are going then flashes up a smiley face?
-

I went done a hill near High Beach, Essex a while back on my geared bike
and at the bottom my computer said i had done 114km an hour,
i cant work out how i did this though, because my computer is always reliable
any ideas?
mate suggested that the front wheel came off the ground for one revolution? but i really doubt this. -

mate suggested that the front wheel came off the ground for one revolution? but i really doubt this.I'd hypothesise that your computer was unreliable on this occasion, and further hypothesise that errors of this sort might be more likely to occur at higher speeds, say 60kph and above.
I bet the testing of most bicycle computers is more rigorous in the 10-30mph zone, or rather, that's where they're designed to be most reliable.

a friend of mine went tourer on a tandem with his then fiance, they went down a hill and reached 65mile. they didn't end up getting married.
