  • Or we could keep it nice and simple like at Madison

  • i thought about that too tom, but the only concern i had was that without a percievable barrier (like the wall their skirting is near) we would be ploughing into and over the skirting all the time. i think... maybe... discuss.

  • the lego and ply idea could work, but yeh in my head i saw those metal crowd barriers that are easyily stacked.

  • I've always wondered what you see in your head ......

  • ...besides this

  • this looks pretty awesome.. i want to see a sweet court built when i get back

  • Yorgo, props for the proactive approach.
Hate to sound negative on what is on the whole a great plan, but the idea of loads of folks wandering past and having a good gawp whilst we're playing doesn't really appeal to me that much. Kind of like the Southbank for skating, always felt like a performing monkey down there.

  • Dan, never knew you skated, but given your size and build you'd look like nothing other than a performing monkey

  • a bit like you on a bike locketté.

  • I see myself more like a day old startled deer

  • Y... the idea of loads of folks wandering past and having a good gawp whilst we're playing doesn't really appeal to me that much...

thats the brick lane tradition my friend. :D

  • maybe that's why brick lane is dead?

  • 'cause everybody's shy?!!

  • brick lane is dead because the courts gaps annoy whoratio.

  • the idea of loads of folks wandering past and having a good gawp whilst we're playing doesn't really appeal to me that much

thats the brick lane tradition my friend. :D

is that why you like playing there so much?

  • I think the idea of popularising polo is good in theory.
Just, in that area seems a little cliche/shoreditch.

  • i like brick lane because its 1 minute away from my house, good coffee, hot and cheap food, beer and ... well... its tradition innit?

  • yes. every tradition that exists anywhere at anytime. sure. why not?

  • We'd have to get some kind of gag to stop Object shouting "You're a c*nt!" every 5 minutes.

    .....although he'd probably like that.

  • fucking hell birthday present!!! (for em, not me)

  • like this:

  • ha ha.

  • Nice on Yorgo.
If we could find some of these it'd be sweet.

They link together like bits of lego. There's a square enclosed by them at Smithfields which looks like a court already.

Unless someone has already said it, these are seriously shit.

The court at ECMC last year was delimited by these things, and it was awful. Unreliable rebounds, balls lost through holes etc.

To be honest, unless the courts are properly boarded, forget it. It'll just be like the Shacklewell Street court, only with added hipster.

  • I agree that we ought to be playing at Brick Lane more, it's just that the court is such a pain to play on...

Let's face it, we all got a lot better playing on Downham - faster play, smaller goals etc.

  • We'd have to get some kind of gag to stop Object shouting "You're a c*nt!" every 5 minutes.

    .....although he'd probably like that.

    like this:

Oh Tynan's God. I want the franklin one.
