Can you link? I went to Renaissance in Mansfield pretty much every week and don't ever recall an MC. It would have been very unusual for that venue.

Cheers. Yeah that's at Universe and agreed unlistenable.

Best MC for me was E-Mix, appears from 8:05
Was a stalwart at Eddie Richards nights Outer Limits, plus Brainstorm, Release and Edit Block parties and of course RIP at Clink Street

Great find!

The best MCs were true MCs, they could hold their own in a rap battle and came out with real rhymes (like your link). They were few and far between, generally we were subjected to 'make some fuckin noise' shouty cocks.

Yeah that's good it almost sounds like a live PA version of a track and actually adds something. Every MC in an interview says the key to being a good MC is knowing when to shut up but very few actually do. Drum and Bass MC's are generally better they are never needed for House music and Hardcore MC's are all pretty shit I've heard more than one give it the ere we ere we ere we fuckin go shouty bollocks.

Just had another listen and can't place it. Back then you either heard a tune when you were out (that you probably wouldn't remember 😜) or on a mixtape or something you bought.
I reckon mixtapes were the best for picking up tracks but they mostly depended on what you and your mates passed around, I guess we never had one with that on.
Sounds sweet though!! -

It reminds me of another, more popular track. But it's not really my area of expertise so I'm struggling.
The synth I'm talking about, not the vocals. Don't recognise them.
So many tracks sampled other stuff though there's lots of overlap.

The first time I listend to this in my local music shop. Fuck me it didn't half mess with my brain. The intro track has this crazy sub-bass in it and then there's Technohead's stuff..
