It's a pretty big frame- but the best thing to do would be to chuck some forks in the frame, put the wheels etc on it and see.
I am selling it without a fork, so you'd need fork and headset to try it.
Bring those over with you and we'll build it up, if it fits everyone is happy, if not I've not sold you the wrong sized frame.
It might actually be a 60cm, but I am at work, away from both the frame and a tape measure at the moment.

I am currently very poor so this needs to go, preferably today or tomorrow.
Make me an offer- a fine polo frame is waiting for you!

Hey, I have the same frame. It was in amongst a load of old university furniture that had been put up for sale in a blind auction, it was an old professors bike. I bid £10.05 not expecting to win but I did! Done minor refurb like making it SS, new saddle, clean up etc and it is a great ride! It's funny to see the same (bad) paint scheme but as mine was in pretty good condition I haven't changed it yet. I'm looking for a new crank set for this, 48t perhaps, but it's just for getting around London so just something fairly basic but reliable. Let me know what you do with yours! Im new to SS and lfgss so if anyone has any ideas for this bike let me know! Tah, D.

Jez- if you are online this afternoon and see this could you give me a ring to discuss timing tonight?
Cheers.
I am completely new to fixed gear...so please bare with me...and for that reason I am looking to build a budget ride to get started before spending loads of money on shiny things!!
Would this frame provide a base for a good entry bike? What are its pros/cons?
I am 6'4" so need a pretty big frame, am I right in thinking 58cm is as big as they go?
Would i be able to get forks that are a good match?
(sorry if this isnt the right place to be asking these questions, but I am interested in the frame)
Thanks!!
