  • Terrible newspaper.

  • Anyone been to Duck & Waffle?

  • Anyone been to the Chicken Shop on Highgate Road? Any good? What did you have?
    cheers!

  • that's excellent!

    #bookmarked

  • ^^The type of thing the internet was invented for.

    In other news, go here:

  • I need to impress a lady by taking her to a trendy restaurant in London. I know none as i'm from up north. Any good and not to pricey places - I went to pizza east in kentish town and liked the casual vibe and the price, so something similar to that maybe?

ideally around either shoreditch/old street or waterloo area would be good

  • The book club shoreditch does great nachos!!!

  • if you liked pizza east in kentish town then why not pizza east in shoreditch!

  • ^ book club sounds good, I didn't fancy pizza east again as I only went there a few days ago and fancy something else.

  • The Book Club is shit and full of helms

The Clove Club, Shoreditch Town Hall

    or

The Place Above The Ten Bells, Spitalfields

  • ^ Both are v nice but a bit pricey....well, not cheap.
Not so casual-a-vibe as a pizza east, but great date places.

  • The book club shoreditch does great nachos!!!

and of course the great thing about nacho's, your hands might touch as you both go for the guacamole / salsa dip at the same time

  • I really rate Corner Room in Bethnal Green Town Hall, not really trendy per se but quirky decorations and great food. Not pricey.

  • Anything half decent and not mad expensive around the Strand? Mama Wools' bday today and I can't be taking her to Nando's. Any cuisine considered.

  • Lupita on Villiers Street, not exactly on the Strand but not miles away either.

  • Sagar

    South Indian veg restaurant

  • Cheers, guys. Gonna give Lupita a go I reckon. I don't get my insatiable appetite from my mother so that Joe Allen burger would just be a waste on her. One for when I'm out with friends I reckon.

I could really smash a masala dosa into my face right now.

  • Lupita on Villiers Street, not exactly on the Strand but not miles away either.

    This is rather good.

  • Curry anyone?

This place opened recently on Westow Hill, Crystal Palace. They are so good, they deserve a plug. If you fancy a curry and you're south, come here. The Fish is all amazing, You can tell everything is fresh, the tastes are distinct and intense.

  • Anyone got any tips on place to get a quick bite to eat either near Kings Cross or by the Southbank Centre that's vegan friendly?

    Cheers!

  • Now? If not now:

    Vx in King's Cross.

A shop, so obviously not open any more right now.

Itadaki Zen is a vegan restaurant:

I must admit that I haven't been that impressed by it, but others have praised it. Pretty pricey, though.

Hmmm ... South Bank. Can't think of anywhere off the top of my head.

  • Oh (still on KX), Drummond Street, obviously. A little way along the Inner Ring Road, behind Euston, in fact. Very good vegan-friendly vegetarian restaurants there.
