Lunchtime sushi/Japanese on Saturday, something a step up from Itsu etc. Somewhere around either covent garden or Camden or inbetween the two.
Any recommendations?

Asakusa at Mornington Crescent 👌

I've not been for a while but Asakusa near Mornington Crescent used to be very good.
Camden has a load of Japanese restaurants for some reason. Japanese restaurant Seto is also good, although not too fancy if that's what you want. There's also Dolsot on parkway.
Covent Gardenish the two obvious ones are Tokyo Diner and the one in the Japan Centre.

i was going to say Xu but it seems it’s closed and now Bao are sticking to their original format but the aubergine rice dish is on the bao menu so i’m going to have to pay a visit.
not sushi but very good.
Laksamania is great for a lunch stop but again not sushi.(not a big sushi fan)

Not entirely related but just to say how good the Too Good to Go app is; just got a sandwich from Louie Louie on Walworth Road for £3.59, plus two pastries. Bloke behind in line had the same sandwich at like £7 a pop.

Big thumbs up for Everest Curry King in Lewisham. Sri Lankan curry. Canteen style setup. Very good value. Their food reminds me of what my Sri Lankan friend's Mum used to give me. Its pretty special.
4.5/5 out of nearly 500 reviews on Google. Can't believe I've lived here so long without knowing about it. Then again, I didn't know about Levante either.

+1 on Everest!

What else am I missing in Lewisham?
Big fan of Levante and the new kebab place Payiz (better than Levante but you pay a lot more).
A Touch of Class Caribbean on Lee High Road is fantastic although you do have to get over the fact its in the back of a barber shop when you first order (it does get 5/5 hygiene rating).
Happy Sushi on Lewisham Road is great for cheap and cheerful Sushi (cash only).

Have walked past andrew Edmunds many times, but just booked a table for a date night with the missus after she mentioned she’d always wanted to go. With it being in soho for so long hoping the longevity means the food will be really good/amazing.

It's one of our favourite places - understated.
Went there a couple of times with my ex, and felt a bit uncomfortable going with my now wife, so there was a gap of probably 12 or 15 years between visits before I got a grip of myself.
12 or 15 wasted years ...

Any suggestions for a good vegetarian or fish restaurant in central Glasgow?

Any particular recommendations for Portuguese restaurants in Stockwell? There was one which we used to go to years ago but can't remember the name.
Aiming for dinner this eve so somewhere with a reasonable chance of a table for walk ins would be good.

O cantinho (or something I think)
The Guildford, Devonshire Drive Greenwich.
Great garden, decent food.
It’s pretty much your only option.
