  • Or should it be 'falling apart literally'?

    Shit.

  • Todd, answer to your question from another thread ...

i was trying to order from sportsunlimitedinc.com

I've got an email contact, waiting to hear when they'll restock.

  • Or 'falling apart figuratively?'

  • Hey. If you can find a store in NYC that has more than a couple of 3 packs, (and god knows Ive tried) I could be persuaded to ride over there and pick up a box or two and bring them back...maybe Ill ask around the pit tomorrow..

  • Do it John! I googled and found these store in Manhattan:

Gerry Cosby's at MSG. Expensive, but they'll have hockey gear year round. 11 Pennsylvania Plaza (on 31st Street, just East of 7th Ave.) [http://www.cosbysports.com/

](http://www.cosbysports.com/) Try Paragon Sports as well at 18th & Broadway ( 867 Broadway).

Check out Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers also. (23rd Street and the Hudson River)

NHL store in midtown Manhattan. It is located at 47 street and 6th Avenue.

You can also try Modells, located throughout the city (http://www.modells.com - there's one on E42nd)

  • Wow..awesome list. thanks. Ive been to a couple of Mo's already, which is why Im still hunting for more than 3packs, but the others definitely look interesting..

  • Paragon Sports @18th&Broadway.. $6 +tax for 3. So Ive got a dozen, if anybodys interested..Theyve also got a ton of the cold weather yellow balls at $3 each. No sign anywhere of the red ones..

just for reference, here's my summary of the above list:
NHL Store is great for branded mugs and shirts
Cosbys. great for shirts and sticks
Fuck Mo's. Although it is kind of out of season and theyre restocking with baseball shit.

  • YES! I'll take 3 super high density please mister.

I don't know how well those cold weather balls play - i've probably played one but not noticed. Anyone got any experience? Do they last?

  • p.s. nice work intrepid eggpie. hope you're getting some polo time in over there too.

  • p.p.s. as long as they're not the AGS (anti gravity system, i.e. full of water) balls, they should be cool.

  • I have one, they last and don´t break in winter, I thinbk there are good for freezing days

  • Nice! i'll take a couple if you an spare them.

The cold weather ones are good as long as it's cold. If they don't get cold enough they are too soft.

  • the ball in the pic of the link is not one of the super high density is a normal high desity like the one we have around here, they break in winter

  • Okay. Yep. These are regular high density orange ones...the super HD ones are for >20C and nobody seems to have them, what with it being really fucking cold here..The winter ones are yellow, and if anybody wants one Ill go back and grab some for $3 each..

Jesus, now Ive checked that link to the range Im really confused. Theres ones labelled SX Pro. Theyre the liquid AGS ones? The ones I have are the Comp ones. Regular High Density Orange Comp balls.

    I have these:

OKay. Ive got 12. 'otters, theyre not SuperHD, just regular orange HD. Sorry. Wrong link above. I just saw the pretty orange balls...

Shall we start one of those list things for anyone who wants these Franklins?

    Otters, you still want 3?
    2 for DT?

  • Buffalo Bill 6

  • I'm pretty sure all the liquid ones are marked AGS. Me no likey.

Buffalo Bill 6 [want to specify which kind bill?]
    Otters 2 hd + 2 sub-sero please

  • I'm pretty sure all the liquid ones are marked AGS. Me no likey.

Don't get the sub-zero balls for me (they are confusing marked <32). 6 warm weather, but not the liquid. Or just any balls you can find.

  • Otter, just about every orange ball we've used all winter is an AGS that's been drained. The red super hi-density will shatter in cold weather but is by far the best ball when used in the right conditions. I have a few of those, just waiting on warmer days...
We just break the orange ones because we use them so much, something can only take getting hit hard so many times ya know!

  • The drained balls spin wierd. I vividly remember seeing a shot from Brendan swirl past me as I vainly waved my mallet at it...

  • Yea, if it's just a bit too warm for them, they deform easily. That would happen AGS or not. Anyway, we should really be looking for the red super hi-density ones, spring isn't far away and like I said, I only have a few. 3 or 4...

  • Jon, put me down for 12 high-density.

  • jon - just get as many as you can afford / carry / are available. People wil chip in and cover your costs

  • I agree with tappy.

  • You're just a plagiarist.
