yeah i gotta agree on some nice people there, the girl there with black hair is cute and lovely to speak with, real helpful. And sunday they did some quick maintainance on the bike for me, so i'm buying a beer or coffee for Andy the mech next time I'm there.
Andy and Sano are real nice dudes as well.
With all the opinions about customer service it does come down to being approached within a certain time - usually under a couple minutes to find out if you need assistance and then leaving the customer to go on their way or to help em the best you can.
The way you are approached is key to a sale either that day or next week - condor and 14 do this well. bike fix is also good, Nice guy Si or farmer Si is a top bloke and usually works there fridays!!

First time I went in there was just after my bike was stolen. I was asking if they had any ideas about where I might find it. they were helpful and sympathetic and took my details down in case it turned up.
Second time I went in there was to talk about the possibility of getting the insurance replacement through them. At this point it was a long shot because I was sure the insurers would make me get it through Wheelies, but the same guy, who remembered me immediately, was again helpful without being pushy.
Been in there a couple of times since and it always seems friendly and relaxed. Not snotty or ubercool. Just a nice bunch of people into bikes.
That's the sort of place I want to spend my bike money and, to be frank, I wouldn't mind paying a bit over the odds if I had to. I'm not into searching around to save a couple of quid on something and it's worth paying extra to do business with decent people.

couldn't have a more relaxed shop..
fantastic knowledge too.and the be all of customer service is that if you want something and they have a similar thing.. that they don't push their item on you and tell you where to purchase.
