  • They were open today......I think the closed on monday thing was a temporary measure possibly.

They wernt open when we went, they had a piece of paper on the window saying 'closed mondays'
They let us in though to get kyles headset

  • They let me in as well, (to buy the pedals and stuff), not sure why they were in then?

That should probably really have said 'Closed Mondays except for CrazyJames, as he wrecks so much of his bike stuff that he's always welcome.'

  • i think they stock check, figure out what new stock they want to get in and they do mechanics still

Hahahahaha, he is their best customer

  • The Nitto bars are on their way out on my bike as well, welding has seperated slightly around the shim, and i've got fatigue marks where they've started to bend and the anodising has stretched!

By the way i'm pretty sure John is getting in some odyssey elementary stems on my recommendation :p.

They look really nice, kyle and i where eyeing them up in 14 today

    What I said. :)

What do you mean by 'I've got fatigue marks'?

  • dont get the b witch risers cause im getting em!

  • in a couple years when i can afford them

  • in a couple years when i can afford them

or when you actually get yourself a job, and stop being lazy :)

    That's James told, then. :)

  • The bars have bent where the shim joins the bar and you can see where the anodising has thinned out where the metal has stretched slightly, and the welding has come away from the shim slightly, if all that makes sense?

  • the seat has moved back now.
i like layback seatposts..... so i got one.

why has your Geekhouse got a forward sloping top tube and huge 2 inch risers?

    same difference?
that bike doesn't get ridden, just hangs on the wall

  • Can anyone send me Johns mobile number pls?

  • Try emailing them shopfourteen@live.co.uk

  • Just wanted to say that i went here the other and was well impressed. it is an utterly droolworthy effort. a slap on the back for all those involved.

whilst i would have trouble picking just one of them for my own tastes, the sheer number of pretty, well-thought-out bikes is spectacular. i then went into BLB because i had to and it looks tired and depressing by comparison.

the 14/lee cooper frames look excellent. i didn't catch a price for them, how much do they go for on average for just the frame and fork? loved the headbadge, pure class.

enough lickery from me, but yeah, check it out.

  • they start at £450 F&F.

  • not too bad. you bought one right? what if i went in their with a colour and geometry in mind? are they flexible?

  • i'm sure they could do you custom geo, for a price..... and they cand do you pretty much any colour you want powdercoat/wet spray/stove enamel

  • i was in there yesterday, they were amazingly helpful, and I cant wait to get my bike (roughly 6 weeks).

I was told yesterday the frames are about a one month lead time.

The frame I am looking at is £650 (F+F) but its the chunkier columbus steel, might drop to the standard tubing (still columbus steel afaik) though and save myself £200.

  • ouch... one month?
good job i got in there early then!

  • yeah I am still fannying around making sure everything is okay with work before I put my deposit down too...
