I met a hipster once.. some ferrreeek that came out to west beers on a BMC of all things... with some kind of stickered up hipster nastywheel.
He looked quite like the kickstand cycle tourist that was at another west beers evening.
What an odd bunch cyclists are..

Hippy, you are talking to hipsters so performance does not count, its all about how it looks outside the pub.
Fuck you, dude.

Good luck to anyone starting up a business in this economic climate (and I don't mean that ironically). Went to TdV on Sunday and reet lovely it was too - I hope Andy / FGL's venture is just as good. I know that I prefer the fact these two shops exist as compared to another couple of branches of Cycle Surgery / Evans.
As for the hate? Jeepers, lighten up people!

Fuck you, dude.
Sorry to upset you, it was said in jest. Though clearly a little over sensitive.
And Fred, Crispin clearly knows me well enough to tell me to fuck off, so when do I collect my prize for knowing a hipster?

I am just a humourless faux-roadie.
Not cool enough to be hip, and not a good enough cyclist to be a roadie.

I don't want to be hip, I spend all my spare time playing Fallout 3*

Went to have a mosey about on Sunday but it was closed. I'm more of a Tour De Ville kinda guy but it's ace to see so many specialised shops opening up. Oh yeah, and I do like BLB, but white Zaffiro Pros at TWICE Condor's price is a but much!
They quoted me £45 for a super toughness izumi chain the other day. Got it for £29 from Parker International instead. Plus tried to charge £3 for 1 rim tape!

I pay £1 from mosquito, for the rim tape

I really don't like BLB. I've been in there loads and haven't really ever had a positive experience. I know a few people who say that they just have off days and are generally pretty cool. Maybe they don't like the look of my face (quite possible), maybe i've just caught them on bad days (not very possible due to how many times i've been in). This isn't really a hate comment. I WANT to have a nice time in there, but i almost feel unwelcome these days.....
