Good shout, thanks. Definitely no time for Sunday but maybe for the long term. Does it spray at enough power to shift the mud? I currently don't have a rack so the bike goes in the boot no matter how muddy

Well...it has a 10 litre capacity. It gets enough of it shifted. I use.it in conjunction with brushing stuff off.it seems to clean the drivetrain well enough.

Here's a video from last years race, imagine this but with a layer of mud and leaves spread over the top.

Thanks for that.
That squeally front brake makes me feel right at home. Today's job is to try and solve it. Yes, I did toe in the pads.
-
• #3981
so no barriers or run ups?
-
• #3982
In the last two years there have been no barriers and no banks. They may change it but I suspect not. At the bottom of the hill, before you hit the gravel track, it can be slick and boggy so there may be some running there given all the rain over the last few days.
On another unrelated note, has anyone tried riding at cross bike on the Velopark mountain bike course recently? I'm usually vehemently opposed to spending £5 to ride a short, surfaced pump track but it seemed like the only well-draining local option this morning. Anyone can turn up with no skills on a mountain bike and ride but there is now an out and out ban on cross bikes. I shall be complaining.

Euro championships in Huijbergen NL today, women's race starts now, men at 14:00 UK time, live stream here:

Been after a live feed, thanks. Wyman is looking good. More A/chicken line options needed in cross courses!
-
• #3985
why's everyone going for the chicken line? the 'a' line doesn't look that challenging
-
• #3986
My thoughts too. Harris just rode the a line. Does not seem particularly faster. Looks like there's a lump which sends you off line just before the paths join.

Marianne Vos commentating, nice

• #3988
gah, closed the window and now the stream's overwhelmed. has anyone got any other links?
-
• #3989
don't think it's the stream itself, I just closed it and opened again in another window no problem

PORC course looks really good. Gutted I am not riding now.
-
• #3991
That was September. It's a very different prospect in the mud.

Check out post 35 in this thread for evidence.

Does anyone need a lift from North London? I'll be driving down for the seniors race.
-
• #3994
Well yes, there is that.

• #3995
Post #123 for what happens at PORC when your enthusiasm gets the better of your ability.

• #3996

Squeally brake sorted :0)

Not sure mine won't squeal...

As @BareNecessities said.

Trains to Sevenoaks/Tonbridge are fucked. Had to abandon attempts to get to PORC.
Balls.
Is there a course map for PORC, I know there's a big hill and a big descent (where I'll probably stack it/lose time with my mad mad descending skillz), but I'd like to see what else is going to fuck with my melon this weekend.
