  • 39x18. I was running any kind of positive gradient though, but I think most were by the end.

  • Running seemed no faster than riding, so I stayed on the bike to keep my feet dry.

  • I found it was all much quicker IF YOU JUST STAYED IN BED.

  • I found it was all much quicker IF YOU JUST STAYED IN BED.

    This is my approach to cyclocross generally and it has never failed.

  • You may not believe this, but you missed out.

  • That might be a lie.

  • Cyclopark are hosting another cyclocross training session next month.

  • Before I venture onto Facebook, is anyone here planning on riding the Regionals at Fowlmead, a week on Sunday?

    I wasn't going to ride, and it's an utter faff to get to by public transport, but if someone is driving and has a spare space I'd happily take it and cough up petrol money.

  • Sorry to spam however of possible interest to you crazy people.

    I'm going to have a brand new SRAM rival 22 hydraulic group for sale next week.

    If anyone is keen please reach me.

  • @skinny 10 speed? Hmmmm?

    1. Rival 22 disc hydraulic
  • Clearly I cant read. Thanks :)

  • Photos from pros pre-riding the Milton Keynes World Cup course today suggest it's going to be a slippery, muddy, off-camber delight.

    Kind of apt, given the Central League's love of off camber traversing.

  • @Howard & @Doctor_Cake. I'll be mooching around the finish line at the end of the Juniors race tomorrow. Bright orange Norton Wheelers jersey if dry. Grubby white Mavic jacket if wet. Can't seem to find my forum cap.

  • We have forum caps, should be easy to spot

  • Trains all delayed to milton Keynes. Probably going to miss this :(

  • Live on YouTube if you can get it;

  • I've got my Canada flag if anyone is at Milton Keynes.

  • That was a cracking duel between Compton and Cant. Great racing.

    Well done to Nikki Harris for getting third too.

  • thinking about entering one of the x league races will be my first ever race and will be on a pretty decrepit mtb, is it pretty serious? or will I be okay going around at no doubt a pretty slow pace?

  • There isn't a race at Sidcup tomorrow. The Footscray Meadow round of the London League, which is in Sidcup, is on the 28th of December.

    But don't worry about entering a race on an MTB, or being slow. People race on all sorts of bikes and the faster riders are used to passing slower ones and are, on the whole, polite about it.

  • Have my forum cap but didn't see yours. Did see a few Canada flags.

    Great racing by the Juniors. Brilliant performance by the women. The men didn't get as excited by the men but was busy getting beer and chatting to friends.

    Really impressed by Amira Mellor getting up through the field and contending well. I hope some good teams start taking notice of ger, she's git a lot of potential.

  • Looking forward to the National Trophy tomorrow. A bit drier and firmer but still going to be challenging for the riders.

    Also I think today has demonstrated that we can put on a auccessful World Cup event. Certainly a good argument for it to return in future years.

  • thanks, i saw race was in december and edited my post before i saw yours, will enter that or one before

  • There is a London League race at Frylands Wood scout camp, which is just south of Croydon, on the 14th, then another at Hog Hill on the 21st. All London League races can be found here;
